NRL 2018

Well well, Cronulla have been over paying their players.
Of course, conveniently for the NRL, it wasn't in the Premiership year, and it's no this year, it's only last year that looks dodgy. Amazing how that works out.

penalties have to be for the current season and upcoming season imo. They talked a bit about it on radio sport this morning and I agree that taking past wins/points etc is meh. Players will know they still won that game, comp, whatever - and have generally benefited from it already.
Hit the fuckers in the now, and the future, and it takes on a whole new meaning. Plus this gaming around 'just uncovered payments from prior management' and putting their hands up for assistance from the NRL team is tripe. Nothing more than trying to weasel out of it and seek a lighter sentence.

Gutted we lost but I still thought we were decent.
Blake’s 5th tackle kick that the Bulldogs took on the full in the ingoal was a coach killer.
Don't want to watch the replay (even though it was a good game) but can't remember that one. The real coach killer was Kata's poor defence at the end of the second half which led to a Bulldogs try. I'm struggling to see what Kearney thinks Kata can become, especially when Hiku and Beale are probably our best centre combo.
I think you are forgetting about Hiku's amazing defence against I think the storm. The game where Jearney kept him on the whole match and he just let them roll in. Was surprised he even got another go in first grade after that.

No one forgets that, but Kata has three years of poor defensive reads and three years of blowing tries through his hungus-ness. Part of the reason Fusitua has all his tries is that he's playing on Hiku/Beale's flank and not Hungus Kata's.

Never agree with Paul Kent but he was right on NRL360 when he said the NRL was all in on Manly once it became clear they were out of the playoff race yet didn't bring this Cronulla scandal up at all and now they could win the title.

but, and let's be very clear, they are under the cap this year. So no harm no foul aye?
Drug cheats. Grubs. Junior ref assaulters. And now cap cheats. What a complete shithole of a club.

Time to Nuke them from orbit, only way to be sure.

Crazy round ahead too btw. So many permutations and teams should know exactly what they are playing for come their game time based on previous games results.
Souths need to turn up and get a good win here.
Dragons likewise, surely they can't lose to the knights or can they? What a fall from grace if so. First round playoffs exit very likely (probably regardless!)

Fucking outstanding from the NRL
The Sharks were over the cap in 2015. They were over the cap in 2017. But, in the Premiership year of 2016, they were definitely under.
And this year, we checked, they are $500k under the cap. It's all good bros.

Is Greenberg having a lend of us or what?
3rd Party Agreements are important, so players can use their image to make more money
But they absolutely shouldn't be involved in a players negotiation?
Hahahaha fucking what?

It's a sell-out game for Simon Mannering's 300th game on Friday night against the Raiders. David Fusitua currently leads the NRL in tries so will be looking to add another try to lock that up. Also, Ken Maumalo has resigned with the club until 2022.

Souths sure did turn up last night. Hopefully Sam Burgess' injury not too bad
So this means Roosters just have to win for to lock in 2nd spot or win BIG if the storm don't manage to get past a keen panthers side who will need a good win and hope the sharks fall heavily to the bulldogs if they are to get in to the 4.
Panthers could finish as low as 8th otherwise with Broncos and Warriors likey to get wins
Very intriguing final round!

See Marshall and Farah are making 2019 their swan song. Crazy thinking they are both back at the Tigers

And then the Tigers sign Nathan Cleary on a 10-year-deal in 2020.
