Well the good news is they can't do any worse.
Palmerston North says hi!

Hamilton is probably a good city to go to for an event. There isn't much to do there but you are only there for a weekend and the city itself is easy enough to get

Moving it around every few years seems like a good idea given the novelty value seems to wear off quickly.

@crucial As long as Sky is the broadcaster. The quality of the broadcasts of the June test matches in Suva wasn't great.
I assume that NZRU and Waikato (is that how it works?) still own the product so it will be in their best interests to have world class coverage.
They are effectively looking to lease a different venue for their product rather than hand it over to someone else to run. -

@crucial At this stage, NZR/Hamilton is only the host for 2019. This for 2020 and beyond.
Cheers. So it's owned solely by NZRU and they will decide the where element?
Surely they must have given WR an indication of the plan though. Seems very unlike WR to award a place in the series without knowing that.

@crucial Uhm, did you read the article that I posted earlier?
Yeah, but it was all Tew trying to say nothing while in commercial discussions.
I would still guess that a plan was put forward to WR and they have agreed to proceed on the hope that the plan can be worked out commercially.
