    The mrs has signed us up for Tango this weekend. Being a coordinated musician I'm sure I'll be fine. I just hope it's not one of those 'change partner' type deals like when we did Salsa and I got stuck with an enormous minga who I couldn't get my arms around much to her amusement.

    Trying to get the hang of pistol squats and failing miserably, no Pilates last Saturday on account of a family birthday thing and I fully intended to do dry July ( have been really good with the drinking lately ) but fucked up by having a couple of glasses of red on the first of July.

    I don't know how those dancing couples can do all that without wanting to fark each other's brains out right after. That is some intense shit with some serious eye contact. Don't know how I'd be able to keep the footlong in check.

    Went to one session, piked on the rest. Switched partner's and had to dance with a pile of old bones and a tubby minga respectively. I just don't think that kind of dancing fits with our culture, the blokes who attend look for the most part like a bunch of serial killers ( quiet, strangely dressed with centre parts ). Al Pacino they most certainly ain't.

    Just not my cup of tea. Mrs took it well haha.

    At least you gave it a shot. Would have been OK to do it together but it would be weird to get close and personal with someone else, particularly a tubby minga.

    Interesting you mention the freak looking men there. My date last night does salsa and she said the same thing. I was thinking it would be Latino hunks, but apparently the complete opposite.

    Well yeah when the swarthy Latino blokes do it they look quite natural and fair enough, it's their culture. Kiwi blokes ( and Aussies ) don't really fit the bill. We're all about repressed emotion, not smoldering gazes....

    I posted a rope climbing vid on Fagbook, took it after work so in jeans, shirt and beanie and pretty much the only comments I got were naysayers doubting it was me cos you can't really see my face.

    I wouldn't know how. Just did another climb to silence any naysayers and chucked it on fagbook, got a bit caught near the top and had to cheat with legs briefly but ah well. 95% decent for the rest of it. DOMS flaring up like a mutha fucka as well!

    Joints a bit sore from one too many rope climbs on Saturdee. They can be tough on the CNS so I need to be careful of overdoing it.

    Also feeling pleasantly fucked after an hour or so jumping round with the boys at Jumparama. Awesome workout to be honest although oldest boy landed badly and hurt his ankle. I'm sure he'll be ok.

    Great being out there making it happen with the lads while other fat, douchebag Dads sat 'watching' their kids ( or should I say phones ).
    I don't live with my boys so maybe I feel I need to make an effort but I'd much rather run the risk of being active and potentially embarassing them than sitting on my ass being inactive.

    Feeling like a change so smashed out a few weighted Dips, holy shit the DOMS in the chest is on fire today! Amazing how something a bit different can fuck ya up.

    Chest workouts currently consist of a rotation of dips (weighted ), Diamond push ups, one armed push ups and clap push ups. Some nice variety there to keep thing interesting and getting some good numbers for a heavy 41 year old.
