@bones The article was about players ending their career early. That's how I read the subject. My bad.

I'm not sure that you really need to police thread topics anyway. The fern ebbs and flows, in and out, deep breaths when things go astray (and stay away from the "off topic" forum that will do your head in).

Fucken @Bones always jumps in and gets triggered. I for one am sick of it.

No, please, tell us more about your wedding guest list.

I almost had a second AB there but they got divorced.

    Absolutely.
No discussion of hot chicks or pictures of breasts. (Sorry- wrong TSF forum).

@Bovidae Yeah Henin was 28ish for her second retirement (was due to injury).
Yao Ming was 30 maybe 31 (injury related as well)

Not quite sure what the criteria is for too young? Before 30?

@mariner4life are you on holiday? I feel like you've been hitting the turps a lot lately.

But yes, RIP. Can't believe Hansen got away with murder.

    Who?
The name is ringing the very slightest of bells...

Derrin Witcombe probably falls into the forced early retirement category.

@gunner shit actually, think I've got the wrong guy, or wrong spelling. Ex lock/6 for the canes, had a cracking season just as he signed overseas and was mentioned as being on the cusp of AB selection.

    Or looked at another way

    Death - Senna
    Injury - Van Basten
Right time to go - James Hunt
    Family - Rocky Marciano
    Am I, Aren't I - Nikki Lauda
I'm down, but not out - Bo Jackson

Naa just wanted to find a reason that Mike hadn't mentioned.

Rocky Marciano retired at 49-0. One of the very few boxers who went out on top.

Are a few whos noggins have forced them out...

    Craig Clarke, James Broadhurst, Afeaki

Then there is Hayman, McAlister, Piutau, Faumuina

I retired form my professional golf career before it took off and I spiralled out of control Tiger styles, I have morals! 🏌

Meh, I care nothing for any other sports!

    Or this

    Calling it a day

    Calling it a day

While most sportsmen and women fade out, others turn their back on the sport at the very top of their game. We take a look at ten sports stars who retired in their prime...sports Top Tens

Fuck two minutes of google (including reading it) and you can write a better list than the OP
