A big rumour doing the rounds in and around the Blues is that Akira Ioane and possibly his brother Reiko will be playing for the Hurricanes in 2019,I have received this information from a very credible source that I have received info from in the past.
I am totally hoping for once this information is incorrect, but having spoken to someone else within the organisation,itโs not that far off the mark.

@steven-harris So Akira to replace Blade Thomson and Rieko to take Julian Savea's spot?

@steven-harris Couldn't blame them. I'd want to move to a franchise with better coaching and prospects of winning something (like a game or two per season).

The Blues decided not to fix anything. They shouldn't be surprised if people want to leave.

@antipodean speaks volumes about how rotten this organisation is from the top down..I had been sitting on this info for about a week, and I have asked around to verify its authenticity..had 3 other people confirm it.

So, they'll be astonished.

I think it's disgusting that the Hurricanes have gone out and put another undeserved roadblock in front of Jonah Lowe's inevitable rise to stardom. Disgusting.

@kiwimurph Yeah, but with Ben Lam and Rieko no doubt claiming the 11 and 14 jerseys, how much game time will the guys I mentioned get? Aso will be lucky to get the 23 jersey, for which he'll have to compete with, among others, NMS.
