@SammyC was at the game?
Cos nobody else has ever questioned Akiraβs workrate?
If that story is true then the Ioane brothers sound like a couple of dicks. Blake Gibson should come to the crusaders, weβd make him a better player.

I'm not too worried. If true, good on Blake for calling someone out, no matter their status or pedigree. Could be a good'un - doesn't respect reputations, just what's happening. Won't hurt Rieko either, getting a message.
Agreed. Quite well known that Reiko doesnt give a hoot about anything the 'senior' players say or do cos he knows he's the best player on the roster therefore untouchable ....and he has little or no time for the younger players there. He does nothing to make them feel comfortable or part of the team...in fact he makes sure he lets them know there place is at the bottom. Probably best if he does leave. Its the old story, you have to weigh up what the cost is to the team morale/culture having him on the team.

Best player in the world - I'd invest heavily in him to keep him, but not at any cost

Given the shambles on the field and the complete lack of leadership evident it's not surprising to hear any of this.
This goes against all the 'great things happening off the field' that gets peddled by this fraud of an organisation.
So if Rieko is basically Nonu does that mean Blues will bring in Hamateur?

re: Akira. So which of you guys wouldn't go over to help out your old man if he was in a scuffle?
Depends if it was my dad who started it and whether i had a lucrative rugby career to risk or not.
So you'd look up see the scuffle going on and first enquire, "excuse me who started this?" before going over to help your old man out, and then you'd stop and think 'oh best not ruin my lucrative rugby career by going over'.
Hmmm, ok. Well, you have more self control than me.

@nepia I think it's more that no one is surprised that Akira's dad is up in the crowd having a scrap.
Why? Is he a known scrapper? During the Lions tour both him and the wife came across as bloody nice people. I think it's understandable if he had to put up with @SammyC giving Akira shit all match that he'd tell him to calm his farm and it could easily escalate from there.
Jesus, BBBR's old man is going to kill someone in the stands by that measure.

This made me laugh. It's been a good day for posts making me laugh.
Can you imagine that scenario and his Dad says he in fact started it and Ikira actually tells the stranger it's ok to keep laying into him

TSF thread diversions are gold!!
A thread about the Blues is now discussing sticking up for your dad who may or may not deserve support haha!!
My dads bigger than yours!
