2017-18 World Sevens Series

@kruse They'd never do that and I'm glad they're not that kind of team. They're pure class! I hope they can win this tournament. They may not be able to win the series anymore, but it would be awesome if they end up winning more tournaments than the Aussies.

Yeah so Bok can win the series possibly, tight series at the utter top. Not down amongst the also rans like us
A lot will have to go the Boks way for them to win this, including Fiji's next games, not just their own.

Wow, this is truly a weird tournament! England has just beaten Fiji in the Cup QF (19 - 17)!
That was a good win by England, especially with the ref having decided Fiji would win prior to kick off.
-
Try by Dylan Sage was suspect.
-
Blitzbokke need to defend for a minute
-
Lol. Let's see extra time.
-
One step at a time
-
Wow, another crazy game. South Africa needed extra time and and a few dodgy decisions from the ref to beat Spain 13 - 10. Well done to Spain. Must be one of the most improved team this season; with Ireland.
NZ and South Africa will meet in the Semi-Final at 12.25am NZT.

Removing Rasta has made no difference then?
Should I say Rasta is not the only one making bad calls. As a Saffer fan I did see 50-50 calls today. On a day when the Blitzbokke have to win games to win a championship I would rather they win fair and square. The SF will be between Blitzbokke and NZ and let's hope there is no controversy. I have worked out all the permutations for Fiji and Blitzbokke to win the championship. So let's see.

This season in 10 tournaments at knockout. Fiji has won 5 finals and made it 2 other semi-finals. South Africa has made it to all 10 semi-finals. Fiji are expected to win a tournament and Blitzbokke expected to be bridesmaids.

As expected, NZ lost to South Africa in the SF: 12 - 24 (HT: 0 - 5). They put up a good fight though, it was only when fatigue kicked in that they dropped the game. Considering the cattle that we have at the moment, I think 3rd place will be a good result if they can beat Canada in the bronze final. Kick-off 4.29am NZT.
South Africa can still steal the Series from Fiji if they win the Final.
Women's final, NZ v AUS is at 3.30am NZT.

There was a lot of Fiji play that was not legal being ignored.
