I think they are trying to avoid being corny, and are walking the comicbook tightrope between serious and cheesy. I don't mind it though and its a reasonably entertaining filler.

Got some catch up to do on this, but I still enjoy it and agree that the writers have steered away from formula to keep it interesting, which is good.

I'm really loving Banshee as a guilty pleasure. I only started watching it because I wanted to see how Ant Starr did in it, but man it is full on! The guy should be a criple by now considering the fights he gets into each week and the prison flashbacks out Sutter, Sutter. Decent amount of titty as well.
Yeah on Arrow, I do like it, I just feel it is a bit samesie alot of the time, but still easy watching, although I expect there is still another twist to come.

My brother has been watching Banshee as well, so I will no doubt watch it at some point.

Started watching The Americans. That mix of Tusk used in the early action sequence was fucking rad.

So, finished Season 5 of Sons of Anarchy last night.

Firstly, September is too long to wait.

Jax Teller is an evil mother fucker.

Interesting they have gone down the path of making him a completely contradictory character now.

There was some gross shit in this season.
Just watched episode two or thre last night when
Opey pops his clogs Time for some UTU from the Sons methinks. Jenna looking like a crack whore now and Clay has claimed Pineys respirator..
The action sequence and the episode were not however. Keri Russell is a hot mum, but a pretty dull screen presence.
Thought the ep when JAx handed Tig to Pope was great, I never thought he'd go through with it, but when he did, I was convinced, only for him to turn around and double cross Pope
I agree about your bit in the spoiler. That was really well handled. As a viewer you really didn't know how that was going to pan out.

fuck, how do you use spoliers!!!
Loved that Pope double cross. Loved the set up. That shit was cold.

Wasn't a fan of him sticking a needle in the ex's arm though, that was unnecessary evil.

Anyone else actual start to feel sorry for Clay by the end of the season? strangely i did. I think that's what makes this show so interesting, you start to blur the lines of morality, and see everything in grey.

So many questions. Did mum dob in Tara? was she put up to it by Jax? Has Jax decided he would rather be a ganster than a father/husband? Who will be VP?

What will be the direction of the club now? Out of guns, out of drugs, legit businesses. What is the storyline?
yeah the series has left alot of questions alright.
That needle thing to the ex was very cold alright!

Yeah you do start feeling for Clay (he plays the moping teen well) but you just think of all the sh!t he's done and think its karma.

Tara is turning into Peggy Bundy bigtime.

I think Jax still wants out, but I dont think he really knows how to get out while keeping all those around him, both safe and semi-amicable.

Not sure about Bobby, what changed his line of thinking or why he has become disillusioned by JAx's direction given the sh!t Clay was upto...but I guess Chips or Tig to be his RH man?
about Jax
if he really wants out, he can go now, all his goals where achieved. Didn't seem like he had much interest in leaving though. And he keeps going on about not bringing up his kids in it, but when Tara decided to leave and take them he got pissy about it. I reckon he is starting to realise he is good at being a gangster, and kind of likes it.

Chibs has a job, i don't think he has enough trust in Tig (the Donna thing still looms large), Juice is a rat, and basically a pussy, Phil is new. Happy serves a purpose, but advice is not that purpose.

I think Bobby changes his mind after he worked out Jax went behind the club's back to pursue his revenge on Clay, which is exactly what Clay did. Not sure he was overly happy with how many people Jax decided on personally killing either. I like Bobby's character, he's pretty interesting. Have to say, Nero is a good addition to the show as well.

Tara thought she was turning into Jemma, but she is nowhere near ruthless, or self-serving enough.

How did you react to Otto and his tongue?
Otto is nuts!!
I like Bobby's character, similarly Happy & OP in that they just 'fit' whereas Jax, that big newbie, Juice and a couple others just dont quite pull it off.

Yeah Jax probably thinks he wants out, but he and Tara are both spiralling out of control.

Nero is a cool character!
Their streaming service only costs US$7.99 per month, but they pull in about US$1B of revenue per quarter.
