Also Better off Ted. One of the funniest work place comedies ever, that absolutely no one watched.
Anyone watch the first two episodes of The Americans on Fx? I am enjoying it so far, has a lot of potential.
I saw them advertising that here last week and thought it looked good (ep 2 tomorrow on TV3) havent had a chance to check it out yet.

So, finished Season 5 of Sons of Anarchy last night.

Firstly, September is too long to wait.

Jax Teller is an evil mother fucker.

Interesting they have gone down the path of making him a completely contradictory character now.

There was some gross shit in this season. -
Watched the Netflix-only revamp of House of Cards and thought it was awesome.

The original UK series featuring Ian Richardson as a scheming, amoral, murderous politician was superb but credit to the US team for transposing it to Washington and giving it an updated perspective. Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright are brilliant as the power couple who will backstab anyone to get what they want, even each other.

I'm a big fan of the Netflix approach of putting the whole season up in one go too. Makes it more like a book than a TV series. No more waiting for your once a week fix - now you get to see as much in one go as you like. Season 2 is already on its way. -
about a dozen eps into both Arrow & Person of Interest

Arrow - am enjoying it for what it is, I do think they try a bit hard to be serious, but otherwise a good watch, like the flashbacks mostly.
POI - Pretty good, similar theme to S1 although they are trying to give a bit more depth to characters as we delve into their past.

Walking Dead - this season is v-good IMO!! Am watching it on TV2, which is only 2 days behind the US (aside from airing it at 2230, this is great)
The Following - started off pretty well, always liked Kevin Bacon, and think James Purefoy is brilliant. -

I think they are trying to avoid being corny, and are walking the comicbook tightrope between serious and cheesy. I don't mind it though and its a reasonably entertaining filler.
Got some catch up to do on this, but I still enjoy it and agree that the writers have steered away from formula to keep it interesting, which is good.

I'm really loving Banshee as a guilty pleasure. I only started watching it because I wanted to see how Ant Starr did in it, but man it is full on! The guy should be a criple by now considering the fights he gets into each week and the prison flashbacks out Sutter, Sutter. Decent amount of titty as well. -

Any non-amish who manages to bang an amish chick gets credit in the BSG street cred ledger -

Yeah on Arrow, I do like it, I just feel it is a bit samesie alot of the time, but still easy watching, although I expect there is still another twist to come.

My brother has been watching Banshee as well, so I will no doubt watch it at some point. -

Just watched episode two or thre last night when
Opey pops his clogs Time for some UTU from the Sons methinks. Jenna looking like a crack whore now and Clay has claimed Pineys respirator..
-
Lots of bad shit to come RB

Started watching The Americans. That mix of Tusk used in the early action sequence was fucking rad.
The action sequence and the episode were not however. Keri Russell is a hot mum, but a pretty dull screen presence. -

Yep, that there is!
Thought the ep when JAx handed Tig to Pope was great, I never thought he'd go through with it, but when he did, I was convinced, only for him to turn around and double cross Pope
-

I agree about your bit in the spoiler. That was really well handled. As a viewer you really didn't know how that was going to pan out. -
yeah, last episode was evil, some tough choices to make, what the fuck would you do!! Learning that life at the top ain't roses and dafidodils...
dafidodils!

What a brilliant name for the Welsh team. -
fuck, how do you use spoliers!!!
Loved that Pope double cross. Loved the set up. That shit was cold.

Wasn't a fan of him sticking a needle in the ex's arm though, that was unnecessary evil.

Anyone else actual start to feel sorry for Clay by the end of the season? strangely i did. I think that's what makes this show so interesting, you start to blur the lines of morality, and see everything in grey.

So many questions. Did mum dob in Tara? was she put up to it by Jax? Has Jax decided he would rather be a ganster than a father/husband? Who will be VP?

What will be the direction of the club now? Out of guns, out of drugs, legit businesses. What is the storyline?
-
yeah the series has left alot of questions alright.
That needle thing to the ex was very cold alright!

Yeah you do start feeling for Clay (he plays the moping teen well) but you just think of all the sh!t he's done and think its karma.

Tara is turning into Peggy Bundy bigtime.

I think Jax still wants out, but I dont think he really knows how to get out while keeping all those around him, both safe and semi-amicable.

Not sure about Bobby, what changed his line of thinking or why he has become disillusioned by JAx's direction given the sh!t Clay was upto...but I guess Chips or Tig to be his RH man?
