All I'll say is don't give the ball back to Fiji with 1 second to go in the match ... they will move it up the field and score.

    Well done Fiji.

How frustrating is this NZ team? Fiji gave them two or three chances to close out the game, either by scoring or holding on to the ball, but they didn't have the smarts to take them.

USA are pumped up and playing well for well for their home tournament. They will probably play Fiji in SF. Should be interesting.

That was really really shit from NZ. Its like watching the Blues - you know they are going to lose before it happens.

Yeah, that's the AB7s story for the last few years. I do think they have improved from last year, but just not enough.

Joubert decided that. Ref's really get shown up in sevens.

Nope. Inexperienced 7s players get shown up.

    So 1992 ...

... the mighty Eden scored a 50m rolling maul try in a sevens tournament in Hawaii on piss trip. Admittedly opposition were Yokohama Country and Athletic Club consisting of a bunch of pasty pommie expats and very small Japanese people, and we only had 2 backs on tour ...

Why would anyone in NZ waste their time in watching the inept performances of this sub-par team. They are terribly coached by a 'Scotsman' of all people ...we need Gordon T back or at least another coach of his calibre.
This team does not hit the ball or line at speed, they are flatfooted in any attack, their handling skills are poor and blah de blah......I did watch their games but after spending the time squirming on the couch in sheer frustration over the last season or so watching these sloppy performances, I don't think I will bother again.

Well deserved reward for the tireless work of Collier. Really impressed at what McGarvey Black brings to the team with his workrate and elusiveness. Hope that the young Nanai-Seturo can become more decisive in contact area and Molia can improve ball control under pressure. We also need a better plan to close out a game, not getting less experienced players isolated and under pressure. Don't think we are too far off the top teams now with the introduction of a flyer with high workrate.

Perry Baker at his best. From his own try line.

Half time: NZ lead 19 - 14 after a terrible start. Defence was weak and the Scott scored two eas, converted tries. The AB7s came back strong though, with tries to Joass, Curry and Ware.

Interesting comment about Joass; he had to lose 10kg after playing a season of XVs.
