BIGGEST NEWS OF THE OFF-SEASON!!!
Fox Sports will have the game clock count down instead of up. Fuck, the innovation...
U.S.A! U.S.A.! U.S.A!
the official release mentioned that in movies, the tension comes from the bomb counting down, so lets replicate that!! I despair for the human race, i really do.
Well that's disappointing
-
Fox Sport Head of Television Steve Crawley said the new game clock would add to the suspense in matches. âWhen thereâs a bomb in a thriller it always counts down to zero and thatâs a big part of the suspense,â he told the Daily Telegraphâs Sport Confidential âHollywood wouldnât count up to 80 so why should we.â

@mariner4life what a clown. If he thinks this adds anything to watching rugby, it's time the ARU sold the rights to any other broadcaster.
-
@antipodean Yes the ARU......

Ha. Reminds me of back in tge day when ESPN changed their soccer coverage so the game clock counted up instead if down. Played multiple adds, obviously for the benefit of their Seppo viewers, just so they could be like soccer watchers from elsewhere in the world.

@gunner I can not remember another time when I have been so disassociated with the Warriors. Last year my NRL watching was so minimal I can not remember what games I actually watched and I only watched games the warriors were involved in. This year I had honestly forgotten we picked up Tohu Harris, Gerard Beale, Pita Hiku and Adam Blair let alone Green.
The Warriors will always be my team * but to be honest the NRL now sits at number 4 in my care factoring. ABs, SR and now NBA all come ahead of the NRL. I can't speak for others but too many shit years have taken their toll on me finally and I am starting to just not give a shit.
*I left that in there so I can make it back on the bandwagon undetected
Growing up in a league family( well my old mans side , my mums was rugby ) in Auckland I will always have a soft spot for them and wish them well ,
But I got involved with the storm from the beginning when my mates nephew Matt Rua was playing , and living here in Melbourne , gave me someone local to follow ,
Ended up being a good move

@kiwiinmelb I live on the Gold Coast and there is absolutely no way I am backing the Titans.

I live in Sydney and there's no way I'd ever back a Sydney team. Stuck with the Warriors :(.
I have a mate who switched his allegiance to Manly, he lives within walking distance of Brookvale though. But still ...
-
Ata Hingano signs with the Raiders so the Warriors upgrade the contract of Sam Cook and sign a young utility player away from the Gold Coast Titans called Karl Lawton.

Karl Lawton
So the Warriors upgrade a hooker and sign a hooker/half to replace a stand off?
@raznomore said in The 2018 NRL preview of the Warriors:
I worked in Manly for 2 months in 2016 and I had the opportunity to go to a Brookvale game. I went down to the beach for a perve instead. Slightly off topic but Manly Beach shits all over the GC for talent.
Lot of South Americans when I lived there, wish I could korero Spanish/Portugese.
-
I still watch a fair amount. With the odd binge weekend when there are several good games. I rec warriors now. Depending on how we are tracking I might even check result before watching. Think i deleted quite a few games last year! đ

Warriors lose Nathaniel Roache for the season with a lumbar disc injury, whatever that is. Means Sam Cook, who only started playing in the dummyhalf role during preseason, will be in line to earn a spot on the bench against the Bunnies next week.
