If you look at the Chiefs website they were over in the BOP recently for a training and fan meet and I assume will be on their way to KC. Maybe they haven't been as active as with Rennie but they have been around the region. I personally don't do facebook or follow on twitter but for those active on social media they have promoted those trips.

Update on Canes' injuries:
Boyd's named 32 players to meet the Crusaders in Greymouth. That doesn't include No 8 Blade Thomson (shoulder) or lock Michael Fatialofa (knee) who were due to be back by now.
Their absence is offset by centre Matt Proctor's return from a shoulder injury.
As for the team's injured All Blacks, Jordie Barrett (shoulder) has been geared towards playing the March 10 home clash the Crusaders, with Milner-Skudder (shoulder) hopefully back in the latter half of the season. Milner-Skudder has been working hard in the gym and, along with a badly limping Coles, came in from leave to mingle with fans during the team's recent open training session in Levin.
Coles had surgery on his ruptured Anterior Cruciate Ligament in December and the best-case scenario is that he might return for the last two weeks of round-robin, in July.

@taniwharugby Another interesting Northland signing:
Jack Debreczeni

According to the Chiefs, this is the starting XV for today's game:
Aidan Ross, Liam Polwart, Angus Ta'avao, Michael Allardice (c), Dominic Bird, Lachlan Boshier, Mitch Karpik, Taleni Seu, Jonathan Taumateine, Tiaan Falcon, Solomon Alaimalo, Johnny Fa'auli, Sean Wainui, Tim Nanai-Williams, Charlie Ngatai
The rest of the players listed are the subs.

Which is why I've been chasing around this morning to get our season passes. I wasn't paying $25 for a pre-season game so needed the pass for free entry. Others in our group needed their passes for the sevens. The Chiefs should have been more organised and the courier company's service has been very poor. I ended up having to collect from their depot.

Another Sydenham front row club graduate.
Club player of the year for the last 2 years.
A really nice guy.
Hope he does well. -

I see Straker has signed with Northland for M10 Cup.
You've got a real connection to the Sydenham club down here, Dale Mcleod, Alaimono, Jordan Hyland, and malcom McLeod have all coached/played there in recent years

@sammyc yeah it is likely MacLeod that has done the work getting them here (heard nothing but good things about him up here) not sure what his role is up here this year (hopefully they have created one for him) but I understand he is no longer Ass. Coach, which was supposedly a factor in Alaimalo going south
