In on 1880 cals a day without exercise. Training allows me to consume an additional 600 to 1000 calories per day depending on intensity and duration of course.

I'm losing between 750g to 1kg per week.

Am also trying to adhere to a 40/30/30 carb/pro/fat regime.

It's really helped me track the quality and quantity of what I'm eating. I'm weighing ingredients before meals and the graphing data keeps me aware of the types of food I'm consuming.

It all comes down to how honest and accurate the data you enter is. I've also found the app to be helpful in helping me plan what in going to eat each day.

Now that I've got abit of time off work I'm doing alot of boring low intensity longer duration fat burning mainly on the treadmill which seems to be shedding pounds a plenty.

Once I get down to the mid 90s Im planning to ditch the treadmill and start running on grass again. Providing the body handles the impact of the harder surface okay I might give Round the Bays a crack in March.

I shouldn't be too far off the mid 90s by then (Feb 16) unless I find I'm burning off lean tissue as well like I did during Body For Life in 2006.

I'm not as worried about how heavy I am anymore. Rather Im focussed on my power to weight ratio. So long as I can squat and Deadlift twice my bodyweight I'm happy.

I also want to learn to run properly. I was always a good sprinter in my younger days (could regularly gas the backs at training and in even in club games..... in my twenties anyway) but have always been a real plodder at anything over 400 metres. I'm not sure if its technical, physiological, mental or a combination of all three but I'm pants at running. I would struggle with the police fit rest which is something pissy like 2.4km in 11:30.

The exciting thing is to see his much I can improve before my body packs up completely.

A good mate of mine whose place I'm house sitting was a former mountain runner ( could do 3k in under 8 minutes at his best ) and occasionally he and I will be sitting having a beer and he will look at someone running past and basically judge their "form" so to speak. He less than politely informs me that mine is shit which is fine as I've never been a long distance runner ( like yourself RB an occasionally effective sprinter ) but if you're serious about running it's good to get someone to help you with form and economy of movement etc.

I thought the Police test was 3k in under 15 minutes ? I nailed that time in 12 or so back in 06 before collapsing if memory serves......

2.4 km in 11:30 is a tick over 12.5 km/h - I could probably do this with a week's preparation as at present I'm geared for distance so would need to change the mindset and leg responses. My best time for this distance is 11:26 during a 3 km run - I was around 101kg and finished in 14:22 which is still a record for me. Don't really run that distance any more but would be interesting to see the difference another few kg makes.

Must be said that the 2.4 km included a decent down hill, but was all on concrete.

3 km in 15 minutes is 12 km/h even. Fairly easy if you've got any training down for longer than a couple of weeks and the mental capacity to ignore your legs.
I struggle mate. Mentally in fine but the shanks move like they're attached to concrete flippers. Doing a lot of core and lower body flexibility to remedy the situation though. Some running technical assistance is also on the cards.

Maybe back off heavy leg weights - particularly calves, and build up the running profile. I find my running is shot to shit when I'm recovering with micro tearing and lactic acid.

But yeah technique is important to being efficient and therefore enjoying it. There is a video in my thread called Running With Eric

I'm in the middle of adopting this stuff to get more speed and stronger calves
