Any chance BJ can play as a batsman?
I don't see why not. He started out as a specialist bat. But who misses out?
Nicholls?

Great stuff! Has southee finally matured!? #10 agrees with him 🖒

Who is the female commentator? Her accent is grating
Nice Sunday of test cricket, and there is 8 people in attendance. Not hard to see why NZC doesn't book tests. What a joke Hamilton.

@mariner4life @Bovidae @MajorRage
Think there are two non-male commentators.Debbie Hockley and Maia Lewis.
The former is quite good.
The latter is awful. Tokenism at it's worst.

That final wicket partnership did a lot of damage. I wondered if it was close to being the highest for NZ for number 10 and 11, but it didn't even get halfway to the effort by Bracewell and Boock (124) vs Australia (and was just short of the world record by Higgs and Snow).
Hockley is OK - about as good as Rudder.
The core team of Styris, Richardson, Smith, Cumming and Doull are all pretty good (IMO) and the bar is set high. Get someone good from overseas and it's excellent.

Ahh. Misread that. Was thinking just 10th wicket. Not 10th wicket by 10 and 11. (Was about to get all uppity about forgetting Hastings and Collinge).
Good spotting.

Hockley was commentating at that time. Maia Lewis definitely has the more distinctive Kiwi accent. Having some female commentators is obviously a new initiative by Sky and NZC.
Personally, I am not a fan of Richardson. He tries to be funny when he isn't, unless he is being mocked by one of the other comms.
