2017 November Internationals

Good win by Ireland today against Argentina. The Pumas much better in the second half with a couple of late tries to even up the scoreboard somewhat.
Man of the Match - Jacob Stockdale. And for me, player of the series. Himself and Andrew Conway have been the finds of the series. McCloskey, Aki and Farrell have got their stripes and added to the midfield stocks to join Henshaw and Ringrose. With the Scottish performances, the Six Nations should be tasty.

I was very impressed with Japan who were far better than the French. Matsushima and Mafi had huge games I thought.

Just watched the highlights of the France v Japan.
That last Japanese try should really have been converted which would have given them the win.
Really noticeable how stand offish the French were at the Japanese breakdowns, they were just fanning out the whole time. -

@stargazer Right now a match I'd like to see is Japan vs Georgia - two teams on an upward trajectories and with contrasting strengths in their games.
Off the top of my head they've played 3 times in recent years (maybe last 3 or 4 years), with Japan winning 2 and Georgia 1.
Most have been close games though.
Georgia has been good for a few years now though. When I say good, I mean that they have beaten Samoa, Tonga, and Japan, with a narrow loss to Fiji. -
Last Autumn Test this weekend, Wales v SA in Cardiff.
Young up & comer Hadleigh Parkes 😉 gets his debut at 12 with a bit of mix & match with other personnel from the Autumn series.
If the Boks watch the NZ match and realise how easy it is to outflank us then it could be a long afternoon and a poor Autumn series

That's a seriously inexperienced pack Mike. Is that due to experimentation, injury or a bit of both?

Bit of both and outside the International Window so some unavailable

By the way. Given the temperature outside today it is a massive stretch to call these 'Autumn Internationals'.
Yep. First day of winter tomorrow.
And already had my first ski in the Brecon Beacons National Park 👍

@mikethesnow 1st day of summer now

This should be a good match.
All signs point to last chance saloon for Coetzee ... it probably should be for Gatland too, but the Taffs just don't seem to show any interest in that
Gatland is pretty damn lucky to have that job still i think. Overall i think his win percentage is 49%.
Against the other "top" nations of his tenure (England, Ireland, France, NZ, Aus & South Africa) it drops to 27%
Against NZ/Aus/SA it drops even further to 7%
And yet he's had the job for 10 years.

Looks a tasty talent.
