    Good win in the end; the second half was much better than first. Faingaanuku, Toala, Flanders & Vaa’i were IMO the best.
    The team could have performed better if they'd played more like a team, but I guess they haven't had enough time together for an optimal performance. I stick to what I said before the game; they should have started Toala and McClutchie.

    Sheild spent too much time looking at the ball, not what you want from a halfback. Get a haircut boy!

    A decent win in the end but not a great game. Aussie's scramble defence was very good though.

    @nepia You mean these shit NZR media releases? They're hopeless. In the team naming for the 2nd test, they named the NZ Barbarians School team instead of the NZ Schools team.

    Edit: I saw a post from one of the HB rep coaches on FB, who confirmed he was still injured. One week later, and he would probably have been able to play.

    Im looking forward to see this Fakatava play in future cos I was impressed by Funaki the starting 9 so he must be some player.

    A mention for the 6 Alaimalo too - he was brilliant and looks to be the perfect dimensions for a 6.

    @kiwimurph

    I thought Funaki played well too. He made one glaring mistake in the 1st half when he went to a short blindside that was stacked with defenders but otherwise had a good game.

    Maloney had the Nisbo disease as he was regularly saying Vaa’i when it was Alaimalo.

    I thought Funaki was good, but sometimes too much holding onto the ball or attacking himself, when he should have passed. Fakatava is a special player. I hope we'll get a good new coach in the Bay, who won't destroy him and hinder his development (like Phil Crackpott).

    I missed most of the first half (didn't realise it was on Oz tv) so only saw the tail end of Funaki (maybe he was tiring a bit by then). The long haired dude seems like he went to the Bryn Hall/Chris Eaton school of bouncing the ball is fine. 😉

    Devan Flanders won the bronze boot and joins pretty prestigious company. Impressed by his work rate in games.
