Wow, that was a pathetic display of defence by Wainui for the first try. Looks like Taranaki are going to get taught a lesson. Canterbury waltzing through the midfield at will.
If only I'd put money on it.

Home game for the Naki vs Manawatu this Wednesday 11th.

Poo get their chance next week

Awesome game. Glad to see the shield move around. Mmac was pretty good, especially his goal kicking. As otgers said Ngatai was good when he came on. I really hope we can see him reach his potential and that the head knocks don't finish his career early. He is the sort of guy that could really get the AB backline going.
Will be interesting to watch TTT next year in super rugby. Could be in with a shot of taking the third AB 9 spot.

Canterbury coached by Delaney reminds me of the Crusaders coached by Blackadder. All the talent without the performance.
Glad Delaney is fucking off to the highlanders... we've been uninspiring this year against the better teams
giving up 55 points in a shield challenge is disgraceful. No ficking pride in the jersey.
Ngatai looked fat, but was awesome. Why doesn't tamanivulu get a chance for the abs?
We've missed Luke Whitelock heaps more than I expected.

Obviously, Robbertson not being the coach anymore makes a big different but that's harsh. Canterbury have only lost two games - both against good sides - and are still a favourite for the Premiership title, albeit not the only one anymore. Their halves are still the best in the competition and the Cantabs are also missing several crucial players (compared to last year) in Luke Whitelock (injured), Scott Barrett and - especially - Matt Todd in the forwards, and Jack Goodhue and Jordie Barrett in the backs. Bird going down early in this game didn't help either (IMO a bigger factor than Ngatai coming on for Taranaki, which happened only a few minutes later).
But it's good for the competition to see other teams step up and getting a good shot to toppling the Cantabs over.
