Yeah, have seen that. Very little contact for me and Kaino has to do better.

Kaino's even come out today and said he got his timing wrong and it wasn't his intention to target his planted foot. Which is fair enough and case closed for me.

@Margin_Walker any contact in that situation will affect Kainos direction.

I bet the case won't be closed tomorrow still.

Yep, contact will have an impact on his direction. I just think Kaino had time to avoid that contact though (and he seems to admit as much). Aware I'm obviously swimming against the tide here though and am not really fussed about labouring the point any more.

so why raise it at all? There is absolutely nothing in it. And yet here we are, discussing it, because of a media whinge. And you being so gracious as to "close the case"

"Kaino has to do better"? Are you serious? jesus the pomposity.

I'm actually disappointed the ABs even wheeled JK out to say anything, this is total bullshit.

It's a forum, sometimes opinions on match incidents differ. I didn't raise it, it was being discussed, but I won't bother in future.

He's on the news now , it was the pommy media at the press conference who kept bringing it up over and over again. Looks like it's this years " I could have died".

jesus. At least Brian's was a legit incident that actually injured a player. JK and the ABs are being persecuted for a hypothetical.

Not only that, but a hypothetical that, had it even somehow eventuated, wouldn't have resulted in even a penalty, let alone any further sanction.

How to suck the life out of the tour. I hope we flog fuck through them the next two weeks.

Gatland doesn't even have a bitchy "yea, but who has the World Cup" to snark as he boards the plane either.

Totally agree and more fool the British press for buying into this pathetic attempt to distract from the result and how out of his depth the clown is.
What really sad is that he must have rewatched the game desperate for something to whine about and this is the best he could come up with.

I just think Kaino had time to avoid that contact though (and he seems to admit as much).

So Kaino should have tried to avoid an offside player pushing him as he is attempting to put pressure on the kicker.

Should he have polished his boots on the way through as well and thanked him kindly for returning to an onside position?

And the call us precious. I will give a fuck what these people think when they point out the high shot on Crotty that wasn't called either. Pains me to say it but Woodward is right here. The Lions didn't lose because Murray got a bit of heat on his box kicks they got beat because after all this time together the still can't score with a 2 man over lap.

    @mooshld

Avoid the contact with Murray's leg, not Faletau

Who said Lions lost because Murray got heat on Lions box kicks? They lost because the better team played them off the park

@Margin_Walker well if Faletau hadn't pushed him he would have avoided Murray leg given the direction of the push was toward Murray

Avoid how? He hasn't even dived at the leg, he's dived past it. And he's already on his way down as the ball was kicked. It's incidental contact that's not even late.

    Touch ref!

@mariner4life you still discussing this bro 😀

A day is a long time after a test match, let alone three. I'm surprised by the reaction to this given these sort of media stories come out in every test series the ABs have played in the last 15 years.

@Wairau I think Jordie Barrett is a big enough boy to be able to play with the men. He doesn't shy from contact and is good on the high ball. Excellent kicker and low error rate. Some work ons for sure but I wouldn't be surprised by a bench selection.

Jordie should've played himself into the #23 jersey. He was huge tonight and made some dominant tackles on defence.

Nah, not really. Aware Faletau's not in this shot, but there was very little contact with him and Kaino is never going to reach the ball. No big deal, but it's on Kaino for me. Each to their own though.

That video is absolutely hilarious. Instead of tweeting a gif of the footage, he's filmed his Laptop with his phone, upright, to cut out half the screen and avoid showing Faletau putting a block on Kaino. Superb stuff.

Best, Henderson, Lawes making Gatland think.

There were calls for Halfpenny to be dropped from the bench to make way for Joesph. No fucking chance.

North had his best game on tour but looked to hurt himself in his try attempt. Not done enough.

Not in the shot when the contact between him and Kaino took place.

    Come on fulla

    Open the other eye.

Faletau came from offside. Played Kaino without the ball. And you've got the shits with a bloke trying for a charge down?

Since when had contact with legs been fucking illegal?

BTW your coach has certainly implied they lodt due to attempted charge downs

Look at his twitter feed, he's been called on the cropping but doubles down on his bullshit . Apparently he's some sort of journo in Ireland .
