The accusation was that NZ fans are arrogant. As a blanket claim it's bullshit. Of course there are some piston wristed gibbons. Just like in any nation.

It might be easier if you just name the few who aren't - we can keep a look-out for them.....

Jesus , pass the burn cream .

@Margin_Walker Probably not I was in a shity mood yesterday and a couple of things back the camels back. So I had a rant. 10 minute rule will be in affect on Saturday morning. The wife is English so 10 minute rule means you only have 10 minutes after the game to gloat or moan about the result the its STFU.

@Salacious-Crumb Does expecting a win make us arrogant. That would make all rugby supports arrogant as no supporter goes to a game and expect to lose. In their heart of hearts they expect there team to win, otherwise why support them. Winning is the enjoyment.

From what ive seen , we have a lot of arrogant piston wristed gibbons hanging around rugby facebook pages ,

And most of them seem to know fuck all about rugby ,and truth be known arent into it that much ,

but just like telling everyone how good we are ,

But generally speaking , facebook is a good place for finding piston wristed gibbons , so there is a good chance if we have them , thats where you will find them

Do you support a team because they win? And not when they don't win? Odd. I support my team also if I expect them to lose. The Magpies lost all but two of their games last year, but I'd never walk away because of that. Because they're my team. Wouldn't be different if the ABs hit a losing streak.

Well we should really start with the definition of arrogant:

    arrogant
    ˈarəɡ(ə)nt/Submit
    adjective
having or revealing an exaggerated sense of one's own importance or abilities.

When you support a team with such an astonishing rate of success (46 consecutive test wins at home, 63 wins, 2 draws and 4 losses under Hansen) that doesn't leave a lot of room to exaggerate our abilities.

I go to watch Northland play and expect (hope) they will win every game! Yes I come away disappointed more often than not....

@taniwharugby To me, hope and expectation are two entirely different things. I have always hope my team wins, but not always expectation.

@Stargazer I support my teams come hell or high water. In my heart of hearts I expect them to win every game and but they don't . I will tell Crusader fans that I don't rate their team before we play them because I support my team does that make me arrogant. I didn't rate McCaw went he played for Canterbury or the Crusaders.

    This is great fun.

I'm actually slowly coming round to the idea that there's a faint possibility that the Lions might just have a chance of possibly scoring a try this weekend against New Zealand.

    Hope that's not too arrogant.

I don't know if you mean "rugby fanatics talking" in facebook, but jesus christ that page is a can of worms. Hardly anyone understands shit about the game and wank on with nonsense. I follow it purely for enterntainment purposes.

    This Saturday

I anticipate a keenly fought contest.

I expect the ABs to win by two scores if they play to their potential

I hope the Lions can confound their critics and history and come away with a victory

If 'The Fall of Eden' comes to pass I will lord it over the blackness and deserve to be called an arrogant twat

@MiketheSnow that won't be arrogant. The meek underdog celebrating an unlikely win can never be arrogant. Just a shit bloke.
