Highlanders v B&I Lions

A ref properly refine the offside line for both sides. Gotta love it

Two things:
Angus Gardner is a reffing superstar.
I am loving this game.
He's good. Some of the obstructions should just be scrums though, IMO.
In obvious shock.....Ref doesn't get everything right. Your opinion is reasonably irrelevant too 😝

Fekitoa takes a quick tap... runs sideways...
Bad option. Though the Lions were never onside, amazed that was play on.
-
Great counter-ruck
-
Shocking errors by Lima, but he has had very little game time this season.
-
Brainless from Haskell. Ref gives the warning.
-
Great try
-
Game on.
-
Try was almost the best option for the Lions. Another penalty would have been a yellow and probably a try too anyway.

At that last try, how on earth was that not an obstruction/offside play by the Lions player exiting the ruck? Drags one player to create a hole while standing on the other side while blocking another from getting to the channel.
That really was comical. He appeared to help set up the try by dragging down the side of the maul.
20 - 22 Lions

You have to fancy the Highlanders going into the last stanza

mauls are lame, but good to see the Highöanders score
Tonnes of penalty kicks is heaps more fun. Same with tryless games.
This is a thousand times better than the dross been served up so far this tour... even with the lame mauls
