Germany to start fining parents for failing to vaccinate their kids:
http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-40056680
Apparently it's already an offence in Italy.

Now that's how you legislate stupid!
-
@JC which is what Lance O'Sullivan said he wants to see and is copping shit for on social media...alas, I cant see NZ going down this road.
What gets me, is the sheer numbers that still believe the movie and the fraudulent science used to start the movement, aint no helping some people!
-
@taniwharugby I thought they interviewed someone on tv1 the other night who said vaccination uptake was at about 95% in NZ? If so it is a noisy minority that flies in the face of most nzers. You would think, assuming this us correct, that legislating against this sort of stupid would be an easy sell. As I said before people that don't vaccinate their kids should forgo their rights to public health care and ACC funding in the event they contract the diseases

@canefan oh yeah, it'll be like everything, the vocal minority, but still alot of them about...also wonder how many of those so vehemently opposed have vaccinated thier kids, but still like ot stand on the pedestal, cos rights an' shit.

Fuck them all, I say. Pass a law and laugh as they go ballistic. only problem then is actual enforcement, which the powers that be are typically useless at ☹️

Still stinking up Planet Rugby in support of anti vacc, posting Russia Today articles and fluffing Trump.

I'm not across the logic of these people. Their children can't handle gluten and dairy, but their immune systems can adequately cope with polio and smallpox?

A lot of people fail to see the real dangers of gluten. Have a look at this link and you might not be quite so judgemental

Hopefully science will be able to give a big fuck you to cancer in our lifetimes

Im sure there's more to this than the guy in the article is letting on and burying your head in the sand isn't a great tactic for dealing with the taxman
An experienced lawyer (in his fifties, graduated 1993) earning $52k a year? He's doing it wrong.
I suspect his income may be more than his stated salary.
Also no sympathy as he's trying it on to pay less than he owes.
-
The exchange rate in the late '90s was probably around NZ$4 to the pound, so that lawyer should have been able to pay his $16K debt off almost painlessly instead of sticking his head in the sand and hoping it would evaporate.
Not very sensible or responsible, but he was probably operating under the misguided assumption that he'd never want to return to his country of birth.
