Oh look whats that in the background?..someones kiwi captaincy career perhaps..

Fuck there's some top quality posts in this thread. None more so than this one.

This could be the first loigue controversy of the year though unless I'm mistaken? The ferals have been slack.

@MN5 are you serious? Last week we had these two clowns, Shaun Kenny-Dowell, and the Chairman of the Sharks all busted for coke.

Was Ben Barba at the start of this season?

There hasn't been a shortage. Drugs, drink driving, gambling, the NRL has had it all this year.

They seem to have managed to keep the pre season assaults and gang bangs out of the news in recent years though , I imagine by the standards of league Ferals that counts as progress.

Most of us live in NZ don't forget and being a keen follower of fine upstanding news sites like Stuff.co.nz I can only assume alot of it never made news or I'm tuned out to players pissing in their own mouths, fucking dogs, crashing golf carts before molesting their bosses daughter or shitting in hotel corridors.

He's all over the show but does make a point about having a Te Iwi Kiwi culture run by a Pom and an Aussie.

Bromwich was KIdwell's choice as the new KIwi captain so that worked out well. 🤔

Kidwell was on Radio Sport this morning saying he expected Bromwich and Proctor would still be in the running for the RLWC. NZRL have gone back to the Gary Kemble days.

Yeah I heard that too - but he did say that there was a process for the management to go through. So I guess that'll trump whatever call he is keen on. Either way those guys have got a hell of a lot of ground to make up.

The inevitable happens - Warriors confirm that Kieran Foran is heading back to Sydney in 2018. Oh well, let's just go for it now.

Foran returning to Sydney at end of season
Kieran Foran today announced he will leave the Vodafone Warriors at the end of the 2017 season to be closer to his two children in Sydney.

“It has been an incredibly tough decision to make but it has reached the point where I had to make a call and I’ve done that today,” said the 26-year-old standoff.

“I love it so much here at this club and I have so many people to thank for helping me to get my life and my football career back on track.

“I really wanted to find a way of staying and spending more time here because it’s so good being around the boys and the people here. Every day I have a smile on my face when I come to training.

“But, in the end, it came down to my kids and what’s best for them. I need to be back in Sydney to be closer to them.

“Before I do there’s plenty to do here. I want to finish here as well as I possibly can. We can do something this year and I want to play my part in that.”

Vodafone Warriors managing director Jim Doyle said Foran’s decision is understandable.

“Of course, we would have liked Kieran to stay longer and we looked at ways of making that possible,” he said.

“I know how much he likes it here and how much he wanted to extend his time but his kids’ welfare is paramount. We support him in what he has decided to do and wish him all the best.

“For us, it has been great to see how far he has come getting his life back in order and now being in a position to be able to help the team on the field. He wants to finish the season strongly.”

Doyle said the club had options to consider now Foran’s future has been clarified.

“While we were hoping Kieran would stay we also knew there was a chance he would return to Sydney so we considered that in our planning,” he said.

Since making his Vodafone Warriors debut against Gold Coast on April 2, Foran has played in each of the Vodafone Warriors’ last five matches. His last outing against the Sydney Roosters on April 30 provided the 100th win in his 161 NRL appearances so far.

Really? I thought Kidwell was the one who made the decision to ban them?

Boom. NRL360. Aaron Woods is shocked.

    Aaron. Woods.

Paul Kent is a giant fluffybunny.

@mariner4life Shocked about what? Foran signing? Means James Graham will be on the way out at Bulldogs, Warriors need to throw their money at him and try to steal a semi-decent veteran halfback who is not really wanted at their club.

@mariner4life Oh. To be fair, Aaron Woods is shocked about most things. Man appears to not read anything or leave his house unless its for a game or to visit NRL360.

I thought Woods was actually good about it, Graham carried on like a pious dickhead. Players taking coke while out on the piss doesn't automatically mean there are deeper issues.

And yes Kent is a Kunt.

@Sneakdefreak After the way Graham carried on with the ref while captain last year (or was it the year before) and the way he generally carries on with the refs is he really the guy we want at the Warriors?

@Nepia Yes because he's one of the best frontrowers in the game and gets the best out of players around him. Just don't make him the captain (I'm ok with vice-captain).

I thought both hosts were fluffybunnies when they kept probing Graham about Foran joining the dogs and how it would improve them.
The bloke clearly can't say anything coz nothing has been signed (and he may not even know), and did his best to dance around the issue, but they wouldn't let up.

As far as being shocked about coke use - good acting lads.

@Sneakdefreak Not a surprise really. A shame though. Management have to pull their fingers out and get someone in. I'm still upset that Scurrah never went after Luke Lewis when he wanted out of Cronulla!!!

Kidwell: Bromwich, Proctor could be back for World Cup

Kidwell: Bromwich, Proctor could be back for World Cup

Coach David Kidwell believes Jesse Bromwich and Kevin Proctor will be back in the Kiwis jersey for the World Cup. New Zealand Rugby League will meet with K

Kidwell's gone a little bit soft of them now. "Clearly made a bad decision, "Out of character", "Very remorseful".

I reckon he should have taken another tack and hung them out to dry.

"Playing for the Kiwis is an honour". "They have completely failed to respect that". "Their efforts in the match lacked guts". "We can't afford to have such totally unprofessional, brainless and pea-hearted players representing New Zealand".

Notes from Mike Hesson - if people don't have the right attitude then you cut them.
