@Wurzel That's great news (signed for Blues would be even better). I guess that will mean he is eligible for the NZ Schoolboys this year then.

@Wurzel Good news for the Chiefs then. What is Nanai's best position?

@Bovidae From what i've seen of him, fullback. His running talent is unbelievable but he's also got a heck of a punt.

He's played exclusively at fullback for the past two season but could be moved into centre so he gets more time with the ball.

He's the most devastating runner I've seen. Makes Damien Mackenzie look like Richard Loe.

MAGS better win this. We don't want another flop like Scots in this tournament.

@Bovidae Agree, but this is not last year's team. I understand it's a much younger, inexperienced squad.

@Stargazer It never is the same team that won the nationals the year before but the NZ teams have generally done well. Rotorua BHS didn't win either as their team had a number of year 14 players.

Very disappointing news. MAGS has lost the final of the Sanix World Rugby Youth Tournament to Lycée de la Borde Basse. Final score: 9-3 to the school from Castres, France.

Lycées de la Borde Basse were the only unbeaten team at the tournament. What is interesting is that the SA and English teams both lost to Japanese schools in pool play, as did MAGS.

@Stargazer that's a decent effort from the Wellington teams with Stream and Scots not there.
