Sampled a few comedies and dramas, and most of what I saw was shit. I have a bunch of other new shows on my DVR but haven't had time t sample due to the RWC, plus college and NFL football seasons.

The ones I am still watching of the sampled:

Homeland - Seen the first two, so far very good. Loved Damian Lewis (RIP Life) since BoB, and Claire Danes is great in it

American Horror Story - Kind of meh, only two aired so far. Watched it mainly because of Connie Britton. Big problem is creator Ryan Murphy (Glee, Nip/Tuck) normally runs out of ideas after 7 episodes or so on his shows.

Revenge - guilty pleasure campy network show, but I am surprisingly enjoying it. Depends how the story progresses.

I am looking forward to Hell on Wheels that starts November 6th, purely based on AMC's recent series history (Mad Men, Breaking Bad, Walking Dead, Rubicon, not so much the Killing)
Homeland is the best new show this season. Am enjoying it.
Haven't seen the 3rd episode yet, but agree with you whole heartedly based on the first two.

Edit : The ones I looked at briefly that I thought shit

Two Broke Girls
New Girl
Witney
PanAm
Unforgettable
Playboy Club -
I like the way in The Borgias that Jeremy Irons seems to have styled his character on the Emperor from Star Wars. Very cool.

I'm hoping that the storyline gets a bit meatier though. At the moment it is going through the motions of setting up a victim for a ruthless ending then moving on to the next one.
episode 3, and same M.O...u

up to ep. 8 of Breaking Bad, still enjoying it! Gus is one smooth operator -
Just started season 3 SOA...why did no-one tell me Graeme Henry is Gemmas dad?
It was a surprise. Wayne Smith is his Mum. -
Seven part BBC thriller series The Shadow Line. Worth a look.
We've been watching Haven, Downton Abbey (god help me, I really like it - like tape if I might miss it like it), Community, Modern Family (probably my favourite comedy on at the moment), and Spy. I've cheated on Sons of Anarchy. Looking forward to the new season. Caught up on Mad Men (I'm undecided on whether I like it or not). Seen some of Ringer with Buffy. I keep expecting her to kick ass with super human strength, but it doesn't happen.
Is Ringer any good?
It's okay eh. I'm not 100% taken with it, but it's an alright show to pass the time. I wish they'd hurry up a bit in resolving or explaining some things, but apart from that, it's alright. -
dont worry Jury, I like Downton Abbey too...as does DK who mentioned it in this thread
-
explosive and surprising finalé to Breaking Bad!

Some great writing and acting in this show, brilliant characters, be interesting to see where they take it from here. -
Just found out Supernatural Season 7 has started. I like that. It's better than the Nancy vampire crap that is all the rage. Our daughter now commandeers the TV as well. Jeepers creepers: I have been known to sit through - The secret circle and Pretty Little Liars (I don't normally want to throttle teenage girls, but I would be happy if the show ended with all of them being locked away forever with the Carmelite nuns). I never thought I would say this, but I actually miss the Hannah Montana phase and Spongebob Square pants!
