Great win from Saracens. Gutsy effort from the Glasgow Warriors not reflected in the score, but they were in it for most of the first half; lost it in the second. Saracens 38 - 13 Glasgow (HT 14-3)
Excellent win from Clermont over Toulon! Toulon had nothing on attack. It looked to become a low scoring game, but Clermont dominated most of it and were finally rewarded with a couple of good tries. 29-9 to the yellow and blues (HT 6-6).
Semi-finals: Clermont v Leinster in Lyon and Munster v Saracens in Dublin.

I find French rugby quite puke to watch. It always seem to be about brawn in the forwards and garyowens/boxkicks in the backs. Lyon is not too far from where I live, might have to go support Leinster.

Sarries look pretty unstoppable at home at the moment. Score was a fair reflection of the game for me, especially give they had 3/4 tries called back by the TMO. Actually pretty decent to watch these days. Lots of go forward, managed to engineer plenty of holes in the Glasgow defence with Farrell having a decent game pulling the strings at 10. That said, Munster in Dublin will be a much harder test and could go either way.
Complete opposite from Wasps yesterday, who definitely have a weak underbelly despite the galacticos they've assembled. Well beaten by a good Leinster team.

He had a pretty blessed run with the ABs compared to most and I could think of worse things than being an injured pro rugby player in France.

He had a bad run of injuries at the start of career didn't he?
I remember some posters here questioning if he had the durability to play Tests matches.. they were almost as wrong as the people who said Mealamu wasn't physical enough to handle Super Rugby

Strange comment. Does that make it any less sad for him to be out injured like that? Badly injured is badly injured.

Not strange at all, he's had a career that few can match and hopefully he'll make a full recovery. It's not like he's an up and comer who ended up quadraplegic before even getting a chance to play test rugby. I'm sure it's frustrating as hell for him but not the end of the world.

Anyone else watching Leinster vs Wasps? Kurtley Beale with an absolutely scintillating break to put Le Roux away - who dropped it over the line. Otherwise Leinster a class above so far, just steamrolling what is currently the top side of the English championship. Cipriani has been woeful for Wasps.
And Jimmy Goperth looking like one of Wasps best players in that game & all season at 12. Jeez he has had a great second career up north

Agree with MN5, Conrad's had a great career and it's now winding down. If I was the POTUS and I was about to end a tweet I'd say "Not that sad!"

Next year's champions cup final is going to be in Spain. Bilbao the place. It's good timing because rugby is on the rise in Spain. They got 25,000 for their own league final last season.
Steven Jones will be happy, his dream of Spain replacing the ABs in world rugby is one step closer!

Their U20s just missed out on qualification for this year's U20 world championship in Georgia. They led Samoa by 8th points with 9min to go in last year's U20 trophy final.

Straight into a comentating gig on Sky last Saturday morning for the Super Rugby coverage too, he was pretty good opposite Noddy. A hell of a lot better than Fitzy tends to be, good chance to step into the roles that Ali Williams had sewn up until he got nose snuffle issues & shot his future earning in the face.
