As ever, after a win like that, Ireland get to sit in the dressing room thinking on what might have been, whilst they listen to England celebrating the Championship next door.
Here's hoping the June tour unearths a few more nuggets for the squad depth.
I don't think Ireland will be sitting down, and I think the noise they'll make will drown out what will be a downcast England team. 6N is a consolation prize compared to getting into the record books. Winning a tournament on a loss is a bit 'meh'
They won the tournament last week after a thumping victory over Scotland.

No mention of the Scots dominant 29-0 effort over the Eye ties?
Shame on you all
Ok, here's mine
That's not funny Jegga. The mighty Scots are in a renaissance! Get on the bandwagon while you can!!!

You lot celebrating Ireland beating England reeks of the Aussies celebrating Ireland beating us. It's a little distasteful.

English mate just texted me, he said stuff comments isn't showing a lot of love for the motherland.

I tuned into France v Wales with 5 minutes left. It was a bit surreal as another twenty-five minutes and what felt like about twenty scrums unfolded after that.
In the end it was the home advantage championship. Barring games involving Italy, I think only England managed to win an away match.

I usually watch the 6 Nations matches in double speed on Sunday mornings due to time etc, but I watched this match in normal time due to it's significance. The game seems really slow - when Ireland were battering away in the first half I thought I was watching Macqueen era Brumbies ball.
So Ireland managed to strangle the life out of England who looked anything but clinical with the ball. Ireland are the record stoppers these days.
The off side line seems non existent in NH rugby. It's no wonder they often have to play from so far behind the advantage line.
I took particular notice of Itoje and Farrell after their talking up in this thread this week. I know he was playing 6 but there's no way I'd take Itoje over Retallick or Whitelock and Farrell kicks really well ... but I guess this wasn't a game to see his other skills.
Well, I'm happy that England didn't get the record outright, happy to share it with them.

I am happy to not take the moral high ground on this one - yay Ireland!

To me, it's not so much celebrating Ireland beating England, but celebrating England not beating Ireland so they don't set a new Tier 1 winning streak record. Is that distasteful, too, in your opinion? Or should we only celebrate draws when NZ is not involved in a game?

I'm legitimately celebrating Ireland's win. The rest of yiz can go do one.
