Chocks away - 2011 training - your time starts... now...
-
that was a documentary scene...

Shoulders this morning, terrible nights sleep, felt like 2 minutes. Still, a decent workout, shoulders screaming out enough at the end of the workout.

Did some pairs routine posing, compulsories, and home for oats!

WEight this morning up to 81.7, so plus 600g, but BF down to 5.5%. Hate the scales at the moment, they chance from minute to minute, can do your head in, even tough you know all is going well. FELT lean this morning, and in the mirrors looking like a BB now. -
and that is a wrap. Last workout from the current programme dusted. Next week I think is legs Monday, whole body Tuesday, Wednesday and maybe Thursday. Friday off, Saturday game day. Waxing Monday and Tuesday, spray tanning Thursday and Friday morning. Geez I can't wait.

So was back and biceps today, another tough one, weights slowly working their way down as the energy reserves get lower. First set always the same as when full of beans, but by the last you're usually a plate or two on the stack down from where you start!

Then cracked into the routine, individual today for a few run throughs. That's hard enough work alone - a minute of flexing and trying to look like Arnold while feeling like a concentrationj camp victim. It's all a bloody illusion, that is for sure - the only sport in the world that when you compete you are at your lowest peak energy and mentally wise!!

Mad I tells ya mad, I love it! -
well, visit to trainier and mad scientist (food guru) today. And all bloody good for both Vanessa and myself.

My scale reading 81.8, whihc is 1.3 off goal weight. Bodyfat running at 5.5%. Looking sharp and leaner than I have basically ever. This weeks carb depelte not too bad - 4 days and then Friday we start to carb up.

Ness 54.6 (I think it was), goal weight 54, and her BF% off the scale for women, running at just over 9% once worked out with all the million equations she does.

So both good to go in five days, can't wait.

Out treat today, a carb deplete pre carb load was breakfast with 200g (for me) peaches (100 for Ness). So TWO breakfasts today - superb. However, for the next four days there are no oats for breakfast - kumara and egg whites - the kumara the only carb we get for a week. Kumara for breakfast, hoo-raaah.

SO bring it on boys and girls bring it on - a week to go. -
Kumara for brekky? Sounds funky!

You two have done really well Bart. Must be pleasing to be pretty much ready to go with still a week to run. Really looking forward to hearing how you both go down in whakatane this weekend.

Any more update pics to come this week? -
cheers JK, in a good place at the moment which is handy as it gets pretty dark in here for the next few days, and when there are weight worries, even darker!

Trainer wants us to send more photos through on Wednesday , we'll have had out first spray tan on by then too I think, so starting to look battle ready.

Grated Kumara and egg whites (x10) and some veg in an omelet was the breaky - only for three more days, so we can live with that, but it ain't oats!!!!

Leg workout this morning, last one, beauty!!

ANd got our new training programmes for the next few weeks before nationals and Welly NABBA comps, 2 weeks heavy weights before we hit the lighter super set stuff again. In the lighter super set stuff, legs day, we start with 100 squats. Looking forward to that in a sick sort of way. Not all in one go though, ' as many sets as it takes'. Drop weight back to about 80% of a 'comfy' set of ten reps. So could be 35 reps, 20, 10, 10 ,10, 5,4,3,2,1 sort of thing, so long as you hit 100. Think I'll aim for 4 x 25... Famout last words. -
I forgot how quickly the energy drains once you knock the carbs on the head! Just feeling empty now, cardio in the early evening is tough! Just a walk home, making it 45 minutes, but tough.
tops
Gym this morning fine though, the superpump always helps kick start you - although tomorrow that stops. But only Wednesday and Thursday to go and then some nice tucker on the Friday as we start to carb up for MATCH DAY. The journey into hell has been much easier this time around with the new bosses, and the results looking much sharper physique wise.

Results on the stage though, lets see what the rest of the world has been doing come Saturday, -
Good luck! You're almost there, only a few days to go. You've done an awesome job, leading from the front on this forum, far in front of the rest (except on hills, I got you there). You (both) must win, for sure. If you don't, no post workout carb binge allowed!

Did you shave your eyebrows? Could be a winning trick. -
shaving eyebrows, HVAE thought about that, would look pretty freaky I reckon, the complete nude body and eyebrows. Maybe for Nationals one year, get a scary song to pose to too...

Well, one more weights day to go - back dusted today, zero gas in the tank, the triple sets ripping the guts out of you halfway through each time. Weights down, as expected, but we bashed out way through - back AND biceps today that was.

Weights so in the zone not funny. This morning Ness was 52.9, which is 1.1 UNDER competition day weight, meaning Friday will be a start of a slow carb build up, oats back on the menu -SWEET. I was 80.6, which is 100g over comp weight, but that's sweet as a bell too. Dehydration starts today, so we're both going to lose more fluid and obviously weight.

So much easier this time out with the new training crew, stoked.

so almost whistle time boys and girls, and on target feeling pretty fine, just bloody cold.

Oh yeah, my BF% slipped under the 5%, 4.8 as of this morning. -
I was pretty happy, but Ness wanted a change up, and I am so glad we did. Training with heavy weights again instead of all this new age swiss-ball bullshit, and the diet from new food guru different and just as, if not more effective, and tastier food, different lean down, and all going well. So once stubborn Bart was convinced to change, all bloody good!
-
ooooohhhh, the dehydration is kicking in, diuretics doing their job. Woke up in the night (from my 5 3 second bursts of sleep, by christ there are some crap movies on Sky at 4am) with my mouth so dry it would make the Sahara desert seem like the worst swamp in a swamp filled country of bad swamps on a monsoon day.

Skipped gym this morning, nothing in the tank left to burn. Was out last day anyway, but just couldn't drag carcasses out of bed. First tan done, and we're looking like bodybuilders now, it is amazing Vaness'a transformation. One more tan tonight, and then we hit the road to the Whakatane Little Theatre, look out road, two carb depleted zombies on their way. Although tomorrow we start carbing up - oats, protein powder, egg whites and peaches for breakfast, mmmmmm. and then kumara and veg and peaches all through the day.

All going well, tired as expected, but sort of used to it now. Weight this morning a whopping 80kg, couple more fat% points off too by the scales, 4.6. Feel like an Ethiopian. Got to just 'think big' for the next few days, I am the biggest and meanest on the block, King of the fucking hill, this is MY stage, back of small fry!! All the while smiling!!

anyway, that's all for now, catch you tomorrow night perhaps from base camp, Whakatane!! -
muscles suck the carbs in as they are starving for the glycogen, as you have forced them to give that up by the carb deplete as the body needs something to drive it, and with each carb molecule, it also harvests from the body two water molecules, so your skin basically gets thinner, and your muscles get bigger. In layman terms anyway - our trainer explains it much better than that, and in more sentences!!
-
Kick ass guys!! bring back gold for the fern!!
