FFS Broom! Hits a goober straight to Duminy!

That is just such a soft dismissal for a specialist batsman - the sort that loses matches.

    Kick that man's arse!

I think it is too much to ask Latham to open and keep in ODI's move him down the order as his keeping is superb and bring in Worker as a opener.

As I said, Hesson only thinks Latham is a part time wicket keeper until the Champions Trophy. After that Latham won't be required to keep wicket at all. Of course, Latham's performances could change his mind. I don't think Hesson will pick Latham as a specialist keeper. He is only keeping right now so we can have six bowling options.

Also I don't think Worker will get ahead of Brownlie now.

Picking up the pace might be a fuckin fantastic idea, unless they are planning to bat out a draw.

Can't see either of those things happening in the near future.

Latham doesn't have the game to accelerate the scoring batting in the lower middle-order and, as hydro says, Worker will have to bide his time with Brownlie doing well.

Time for two of Taylor, Broom and Neesham to take this deep. Don't want to see the 5th wicket go down before the 43rd over.

Good work Rossco and Jimmy - especially Jimmy!

Go hard boys! Set batsmen and wickets in hand.

    Is Taylor slowing down?
I thought I was watching Davy Warner batting in the 90's

289 but only only 4 wickets down.

Instead of laying shit on the black caps, I'll say that it looked like (from cricinfo) that the SA bowling was excellent at restricting runs.

Well done Rossco! Nice hundred. Well done Jimmy, as well.

That looks like a reasonable score on this pitch - it didn't look easy to hit big on that pitch. No sixes.

Hopefully it's a bit more than par and gives us lots of time to pick up the key Jaapies. But - they're the number one team in the world so we might need some luck and a couple of early wickets.

Good shit Rossco! Gets his hundy and we set a decent target. The SA fielder could have held that catch without hitting the rope but can't fault him playing it safe, good thinking in the moment.

17 tons for Ross - hoping he's got enough gas left in the tank to hit 20!

Yeah SA bowled well, lots of variation and plenty of yorkers. Plus they seemed to get the rub of the green when the odd pie got chucked!

They missed out on a lot of poor balls in the last 5 overs. I think we probably scored about par.
    They missed out on

Rossco gets a hundred, and increases his scoring rate to get there. Cop that Warner you charlatan...

To those who get to watch, enough? Or the 20 short it feels?

Neesham's done pretty well with the bat since his return from injury.

Early wickets will be important as Miller is playing so SA bats much deeper than in game 1.

I'm sure the pitch will quicken up as well under the sun. Sodhi and Santner will be the keys during those middle overs as Tahir was expensive by his standards. Hopefully CdG and Neesham can bowl tightly as well.

Not having ABdV with 100 runs to get off 12 overs will be important too
Great batsman but I dont want that fluffybunny around at the end during final overs.

Very nice ball from Timmy to get Amla. Bowls from wide on the crease full and angling toards leg - but some late swing and he's caught in "two man's land". 🙂

And another very nice ball from CdGh goes straight through Faf. Looked like it was swinging away and then nipped in off the seam. Very deceptive.
