Another Blues player sent to the bin for a late tackle.
Samoa score a penalty goal and now lead 17 to 14.

Blues playing with 10 players while they had a man in the bin ...
Samoa get another shot at goal .. and the kick is good: 20-14 Samoa.

Another penalty and Samoa is in again. The conversion is good and it's full time. Samoa win 27 to 14.

After a good first half, the Blues have given it away with sloppy play and ill-discipline.

Woeful 2nd half from the Blues. No injuries is the real key though.

Try to the Highlanders disallowed because they had 11 players on the field!

NMS looks sharp all things considered.

Try Matt Faddes. Marty Banks with a horror kick. 13-0 Highlanders

Finally, the Canes are on the board after a good team try by NMS.
The conversion attempt goes wide. 13 - 5 Highlanders

There's no way Jordie was concieved naturally. Blatently a clone of Beauden.

I'm not embarrassed to say I get a massive chubby just thinking about the BB10 and JB12 backline for the Canes this year.

Mate was at a party in the Naki with him last weekend (Logan Crowley's 21st) and Jordie said he's been told by the coaches he'll playing fullback this year.

Damn. I don't really like him there, but I guess they need a replacement for Marshall. Woodward has gone too hasn't he?

At any rate, I'm very excited about the Canes this season, especially with NMS back and Jordie B.

Chiefs are going very well against the, thus far, unbeaten Wild Knights.

It's 21 to 0 to the Chiefs at half time.

Alaimano scores the fifth. The Wild Knights haven't turned up yet. Too easy.

    33-0 Chiefs

The commentators were just talking about the temperature at the stadium. Apparently, it's 34 degrees in the shadow. If they are considering organising a 10s tourney next year again, should it really be held in Brisbane. These conditions are insane!

Full time: Chiefs 33 to Wild Knights 5.

Chiefs are through to the quarter finals (top of their pool?).

So the Chiefs make the QFs in the end with that win. A nice touch in the pre-game huddle when the call was "Wax".
