Just finishes Ep 7 of GoT, and was surprised with the ending, if somewhat a little disappointed, given what I think of Joffrey....<img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' />

Just watched all three seasons of breaking bad and thought it was bloody brilliant. Pinkman is a wonderful character and I am glad that they kept him around for the entire show. I thought that they were going to get rid of him for a while towards the end of season 2. <br />
<br />
Glad that my wait isn't as long as what some of you fellow Ferners have had to endure for season 3. Only a few weeks now, hehehe. -
most anticipated show of the year for me is Breaking Bad S4....ended on a cliffhanger!
-
thought the final ep of GoT was a bit of a let down, for a season finale, coulda ended it after ep 9...

I agree, thought it was pretty meh really whereas last weeks finale would have been a great way to end the season - this ep would have made a decent setting up ep for S2.<br />
<br />
Even though I'm sure the actress who plays the Khaleesi is probably in her 20s she just seems so young - I kind of felt uncomfortable seeing her naked even though there is no reason I should (bloody society and its morale compass)!<br />
<br />
SPOILER ALERT (if anyone can tell me where to find the spoiler button I will hide this)<br />
<br />
I must say I was disappointed at the end with the appearance of the dragons - I thought they were going to remain as myths. While I'm still looking forward to the 2nd series I'm a wee bit apprehensive. <br />
<br />
Yes, I know it is based on fantasy books - but the first series fooled me into thinking that they wouldn't have any 'real' dragons. -
dont know that this software has the spoilerfunction??<br />

I kinda expected them to show at some point following the scene where Khaleesi realised she was the dragon, not her brother when she held the hot egg. what was in the final ep (naming of his son as the Northern King, the birth of the dragons, the Knights watch off beyond the wall) sets it nicely for the 2nd series, but as a season finale... -
Watch Justified and Treme in the meantime. They take up two of the spots of my top 4 shows currently airing (along with Community and Parks and Recreation). <br />
<br />
Or do yourself a huge favor, and watch all five seasons of Friday Night Lights if you haven't seen it. Or Arrested Development. Or The Wire. Or Firefly. Or Battlestar Galactica. Etc etc.
<br />
<br />
how many series are there of this? S1 looks to be starting in NZ on Tursday on TV1.<br />
<br />
NZ TV seem to be a bit behind but have a habit of buying the completeseries and playing them back to back (e.g Castle, Sons of Anarchy) rather than in a similar timezone to other countries and wait for the next series -
Justified has two 13 episodes seasons so far, and has been renewed for a third season.

Hey Rusty - do you have any new series recommendations?<br />
<br />
I'm actually really enjoying the USA Network bright (lit) shows at the moment (Burn Notice, Covert Affairs, White Collar) even though I suspect it is uncool to.<br />
<br />
I would like a really engrossing show to use as my Exercycle show (I cycle while I watch) but none of the ones I've been watching have really grabbed me. I quite like Fringe but not enough as a cycle show. And I fine it weird how they made the main lady less attractive in the series than she was in the pilot. -

cool cheers, am a big fan of Oliphant, so been umming and ahhing about getting this one...I expect if 2 series are already over, they will likely play them back to back here -
was flicking channels and noticed Life on the Box, start of Season 2...never knew they made a 2nd series, dont remember a great deal about how it ended, just that it ended abruptly and I liked it.

Ive fallen out of Fringe, stopped watching midway through season 2, have season 3 all downloaded to watch as well.<br />
Great show to watch at times, will have to attempt to get back into it soon. -

USA just started two more series following their usual template. Suits, and Necessary Roughness. Of the two, Suits looks the better, but they only have aired 1 or 2 episodes of both, so pretty early to judge. You know neither will win an Emmy, but probably will be light and somewhat entertaining.<br />
<br />
I am really not watching anything else new. Not too much on this summer. Waiting for the new season of Breaking Bad, Rescue Me, Entourage, Curb Your Enthusiasm etc to start in a couple of weeks. Also, am finally watching Sports Night. Had the files for over 3 years, just never had the time. -
any feedback on the new series of True Blood (2 episodes in) given how average S3 was?

Cheers Rusty - I saw Suits on EZTV and was wondering whether to give it a look.<br />
<br />
I've never really got into Curb Your Enthusiasm and indeed my enthusiasm for Seinfeld has waned markedly recently. I rewatched about 10 eps recently (3rd time round) and have to say it was a struggle. Scarily I think that friends has aged better.<br />
<br />
What do you think of Sportsnight? -

I watched the first ep of Suits and thought it was pretty good - typical USA formula of cocky guy, not so cocky guys and a decent looking woman! On that, I think that Burn Notice and White Collar need to come up with arcs pretty soon because they're a little bit too formulaic at the moment. In the case of White Collar a better arc than the Nazi loot.<br />
<br />
Spys, detectives and lawyers seem to be the extent of the USA Networks writers' capabilities <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />. -
I watched the first 2 episodes of some alien invasion show "Falling Skies" last week. To anyone who may have seen it, does it get any better?
