I don't think it's all that close really. Taylor got a good century but it wasn't extraordinary, and unfortunately got out at an inopportune time.
Boult won us the game when it was on the line.

Rosco's ton was absolutely brilliant and without it we wouldn't have anything to bowl at, but, 6/33 in an ODI is a rarity these days. Crazy figures, so it has to be Boult all day long.

Well, that was a bloody good win. Highlighted why ODI games can be so good to wacth - the match swung all over the place.
Very very impressed with Boult. High quality pace bowling, and has found his pace again. Lockie Ferguson bowling at 152 is just remarkable. That is Bond like pace - bowling coach has to take some credit for that, despite the abuse recently directed at him.
Santner bowled 8 terrific overs, and then, um, well, yeah. 8-2-19 becomes 10-2-50odd. Just bizarre.
Great batting from the lower order Australians. Nearly got them over the line.
Still think we were 50 runs shy of a dominant total, and 20 short of a competitive total. Bowling quality won that for us.
Otherwise, Aussies show how much they miss Warner and Smith. Take them out adn the lineup looks very very vulnerable.
Other than that, great day. Bet the crowd got their moneys worth - and good to see plenty of people there.
In other opinion, isn't this the time to be running the domestic T20 or ODI on TV? Nothing to watch on Friday nights, kids back at school - this is the time to take kids to domestic games, not in the runup to Christmas.

they are at school before christmas. I agree it actually seems like cricket season now and most people take some holidays in January or Feb, and lazy weekends. I was too busy to watch the 20/20 in the lead up to christmas. They should be targeting Friday and Sat night prime-time late Jan early Feb
