That's a pretty massive loose trio for England.

Dumb by May. I really can't understand why players are trying to lift the leg that high these days, just idiotic.

@Pot-Hale Under the new directives Bowes high tackle at the end should have been a yellow, should it not? It was the same as Fekitoa last November. If an all black had have made that high tackle today, it would have been red

If you had left the last bit of your sentence out, I might have agreed with you. 🙂

Think Fekitoas was definitely worse, but the shrieking if it had been an AB doing the one today would've been crazy. As it was all the commentators seemed to agree it was borderline but probably only a penalty.

I'm sure if it was Fekitoa it would've been worthy of a 5 year ban.

By the letter of the new laws that should have been a YC
Swinging arm high on the arm with high risk of riding up.
However for consistency during the game there was a lot of reluctance to call anything high that was debatable

Have to say, Picamoles is a bloody good player. Would take him in the ABs if Read was injured.

Itoje is no Kaino though. I'm sick of hearing about how 'athletic' he is. How about smashing tackles and strong ball carrying instead?

I'm picking him to be the next yellow, seen about 3 at shoulder height that have slipped up so far, all in moments where play has been called up or refocused just prior.

Itoje very lucky Gardner focussed on the forward pass there. That was a clumsy high contact. I watched him in a game the other week and he really struggled with getting low instinctively.

Compared to the last game this is a big yawn. Neither side showing much attacking prowess. The only excitement coming from the odd spilled ball break.

Daley making up for his red card against Argies. Just about everything he's done so far has been quality.

That kick off his left foot for touch from broken play was top class.

Impromptu street parties and bands breaking out in Murrayfield Edinburgh with both sets of fans singing their lungs out. Bars just mad.

    Six Nations bliss.

This is the best France have played at Twickenham in quite some time.

England finding out about their strength in depth.

France need to not go inside themselves now.

The amount of chop tackles now flying in from the French. Clearly they've had their card marked on the head highs.

Ford with a superb O'Garaesque touch finder relieves the pressure and puts Eng back on the front foot.

In contrast to his club form.

England win a penalty. Kick for posts??

    No - lineout. 15m out.
