@mariner4life That jacket is an abomination.

I guess I'm lucky in that the opinions of swarthy creeps with bad facial hair, pink shirts and rats tails don't bother me too much. It was a case of spot the person NOT on their phone. Just the way things are these days. I expect similar wankery from @Hooroo this Saturday hopefully minus the rain.
Axl looks just like Donald Trump these days. It's quite eerie. They opened with 'it's so easy' which no one guessed during the pre drinks but rocked straight into ' Mr Brownstone' after that. They did all the big hits ( except 'Patience' which didn't bother me as I think it's a crap song ) predictiably finishing with 'November Rain' and 'Paradise City' and completely bringing the house down. The gig was fucken brilliant although with the wind and sound issues there were a couple of crackly moments. Nice of Slash to give the other guitarist some leads and Duff sung a song too ( he's a bloody solid bass player ) Axls voice was amazingly almost as good as ever.
I still hate 'Knocking on heaven's door' but that gave me ample time to have a piss. Things didn't wrap up til nearly 12 so I'm expecting a few strongly worded comments on Stuff.co.nz complaining about that. Bloody good getting a park on Thorndon Quay too.

Although apparently in Daimond area, there are stalls just for people in that area which would be sweet child of mine!Looking forward to it. Was kind of surprised that it look like a predominately older crowd?

There was all ages really. Gotta remember that a 20 something year old who bought Appetite for Destruction ( still the biggest selling debut album of all time ) is 50 odd now.

@taniwharugby he would want to erase the memory of getting whipped by his little sister in the walk back, while he cried like a little bitch.

@Bones it's like he's just walked off the set from being an extra on The Sopranos

Yeah, taking fashion tips from a feral who wears op shop suits to the races to try and look classy and sophisticated next to Queensland mongrels whilst sipping cheap champagne doesn't really work.

A wallaby in the making? Hmmm, might be more suited to the Aus cricket team...
*No Nick, I will not eat any dicks and I'm sure dad will sort him out before he represents Straya.

@MN5 nice try, but absolutely none of those landed.
You're a dork who wears Star Wars T shirts in a vain attempt to be cool in front of your sons. It's not working.
I of all people know the pain all too well.

@MN5 you're just flailing away aren't you Hutt Guido?
Good show though aye? I was massively underwhelmed in the early 90s, maybe they have got better?
The only thing I can fault were the conditions. I though Axl sounded about 85% compared to the glory years which is great for a tubby drug addict. Also the drummer was a bit average ( comparitively speaking )
