@NTA It was an awesome strike. Had to laugh when he winked at Baz afterwards. 104m hit from McCullum and then Lynn says "I can do better than that" and did.
Heat are now my Big Bash team (mainly because of Dan and Baz but Lynn is just great to watch.

It's Lynn-sanity all over again! That was a beaut of a shot. Surely he'll make your T20 side this year @NTA? Who's likely to be keeping him out? The big show etc??

The Big No can go get fucked. Twat.
Lynn has to be there. His form is irresistible, even if they Thunder dropped him three times.
-
Yeah Lynn will be there for sure. Played for Oz a bit last year, but didn't make the World Cup squad.
It's so volatile, you just have to reward the form players. Last year it was Watto, Khawaja, Marsh brothers, Zampa.
Think it will be a pretty different team this year, especially with our test side in India.
Maxwell would be in my team though, he's a great player. So much natural talent.
-
Maxwell is super dangerous in T20s, he only has to come off for 5-10 overs and it's all over.
-
Beautiful timing. Miss warner scoring runs, turn it on to see him nick out. Fuck off David
-
His innings could determine the fate of the Test. Although the Pakis don't look terribly interested.
-
Benign pitch, but you're right, Pakistan look like they've got a foot on the plane already. I expect Australia to bat once
-
Our batting lineup is still so fragile though.
Can't remember a period where we rely on one or two players as much as we do now. If Warner and Smith fire, we win. If they don't, we lose.
Renshaw and Handscomb are coming along nicely (though thanks to Warner they've never been in under any real pressure), and Khawaja is in good touch too. But none have the game breaking ability that Smith and Warner do.
-
Not bad players to rely on though
-
True.
Renshaw brings up a brilliant century, so happy for him. Held down an end while Warner was going bananas, and then pushed on in the afternoon. And then got clonked on the helmet in the 90s, but it didn't phase him.
This is a big partnership now. Pakistan have done well to hang in there, and another wicket here brings them right back into the game. But if Handscomb and Renshaw push on and take it to 3/300 then it could be lights out.

This is not an NZ v Aussie thing, more a personal dig at Warner, but from what I gather Warner turned down a 3rd run to ensure he kept strike, so that he could hit a ton in one session. The other day Kane told Neesh to finish the job leaving himself stranded on 95* with no chance of a century.
Both very driven blokes. One focussed on personal milestones, one focussed on his teams success regardless of any personal milestones.

Yeah. Shame Cricinfo don't keep stats on Top Bloke, eh?
They should keep stats on "acted like a cock". Kohli and Warner would be miles ahead
-
But yeah it is a shame they don't keep stats on Top Bloke. Black Caps would then sit in their rightful position of #1 ranked team instead of you bastard Aussies...

Kane did that in an ODI against Bangladesh. It was a nothing game and a nothing innings that meant nothing.
Warner's innings was truly historic. He did something that has never been done in a test match in Australia. If he tried to slog sweep a ball on middle stump on the last ball before lunch I'd agree with you, but what he did was pretty reasonable IMO.
