Fatbusting: Kirwan's log

Sorted out overeating tonight (flash restaurant, on the company). Nightclubs tomorrow, New Orleans next week. Diet is fucked <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

Eleven days of drinking beer and eating pizza and I put on 0.7 of a kg, pretty bloody happy with that. Helps that I was mostly working 10-12 hour days and didn't have time to eat a huge amount.<br />
<br />
Been years since I drank like that, and turning up to a conference at 8am to see 300 horrifically hungover people was very, very funny.<br />
<br />
Right, now off to get it back under 80 and head towards the 77kg goal. -
Running around after the kids for a week solid should keep you moving mate! Good effort to be under 80kg with all the travel/kai/booze in recent times. As long as you can get back into your routine asap you'll be sweet. I find I really miss the exercise when life etc gets in the way!

Right, all the travel is out of the way now so should be able to get back into a routine. Started with a 5km run today, the last two runs have both ended in minor injuries, so I have reduced the distance and pace, and I'm aiming to get ten of these under my belt before going back up.<br />
<br />
Bang on 80kg, so definitely time to start again. Mini-target is 78.9kg <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> -

Crap week on the diet front saw an increase in weight, even with the resumption of exercise. So will be getting stricter on what I eat. <br />
<br />
The running is going great, three five km runs with no calf problems. Today was especially good, as I tentatively increased from my fat man shuffle to jogging pace with no issues. That knocked a minute and a half off my previous time, so makes a difference. Being able to trust the legs will mean I can get more out of the runs I do. <br />
<br />
Only other think to report is I've pushed through the lazy wall on the press ups, getting close to 60 a day now. <br />
<br />
Also, am booking in for the cross fit stuff this week to shake things up. -
oh yeah! a decent workout of those will have you walking funny for a day or so!
-
Or put your back out, like with this old bastard. Pulled up pretty lame yesterday, I nearly pulled my groin in a squat and my back went into a spasm when I got home.<br />
<br />
Body is just complaining about the new exercises, been a long time since I did any weights. Both are pretty much fine today, and I have my recovery run tomorrow. Next session on Thursday, then I'll be joining the classes and see how I go. Picking I'll only be doing twice a week for a while.<br />
<br />
Noticing a change in just two sessions though, bloody good workouts. -
it'll really improve your running too mate. When you get into the swing of things your legs/glutes and core will be heaps stronger. A strong core makes a huge difference in running - you'll be upping your pace (provided the lungs co-operate!) in no time.
