Wallaby EOYT 2016

Haven't seen the game BTW - first family camping trip in ages and I wasn't going to let that go. Supposed to be a "storm" which was barely an extended shower
So... Ireland next week. Expect most of our "first" XV to return, but I'm starting to wonder how many miles Foley has left in the legs.

Aussies are really going to be out on their feet for the last test. Holy smokes, what were they thinking. England at the end of a very long year at Twickers. Seems good for short term money gain but bad for long term reputations/confidence/legacy etc.
-
Geez that was an intense finish, reckon the French were on the upper in the last 10 and wouldn't have been a robbery if that droppie hit the target.
This game showed good things from both sides, but either was equally inconsistent and left points on the field due to errors in execution/decision making.
The Wallabies should have put them on the sword, but I guess having less than 500 caps in total, you can't expect a composed and tidy finish, when the opposition is desperate for a win.
I think all the back three played well, and it was nice to see some actual pace on the flanks, Godwin was solid on defence with 12 hits and none missed.
From the pack Simmons I reckon had one of his best outings in gold, Pocock gave his all, Tolu Latu made a couple of errors early on in D, but got better and better as the game went on, and I hope Cheika can give him more minutes from the bench from now on.

Yeah definitely some risk there. Hopefully the rest for some key players allows them to rip right in against Ireland.

Joe Launchbury has been cited for making contact with a Fijian player's head when attempting to kick the ball out of a ruck. From the video, it looks like a dead cert for a ban, which means England will be missing their top 3 locks for Australia. I'm getting a bit worried.
-
Haven't seen the vid yet but yeah, he will be a huge loss. He's been very good on his return. One bright spot though is that Kruis is back.

Is he? Good news, although he and Lawes might be a bit lightweight as a combination.
-
@SimonAdd_2 it's ok, we saw in the RWC it is ok to fly kick the ball and catch someones head.
-
@SimonAdd_2 is lawes any more lightweight than Itoje? he and Kruis have done alright together

Lawes apparently really struggles to keep on weight. He's a naturally skinny guy who has to eat and lift constantly to keep muscle on his frame. That and his old tackling style are meant to be big factors in why he's been injured so often, and why he doesn't put in as many big hits anymore.
Don't get me wrong though, it'll be great to have Kruis back, he's been superb this year.

Kruis has definetily put on some beef in the last couple years and isnt light weight, but Lawes on the other hand, looks like a gazelle.
Who are the next ones? Attwood? Kitchener?Attwood injured against South Africa I think, not sure when he's meant to be back. Charlie Ewell is in the squad so probably next cab off the rank? Big ask for a 6th choice player though.

Ewels is even younger than Itoje? Already missing Haskell, so lot to cover.
Both 21 I think, played together in the 2014 jwc team. Itoje always the more hyped prospect though. I wouldn't feel confident with Ewels on the bench against the Aussies with Kruis only just back from injury; hopefully Attwood isn't out for long.
