It's kinda funny to see how much the (awkward) existence of Cyprus' test record is grinding the gears of some New Zealand fans.
Something tells me that if New Zealand get to 25 test wins - and the odds are shortening on that by the week - there'll be plenty of further hoopla of having reached that number and surpassing the record.
Oh ye of little faith....

Pfft it would be no better then the Cyprus record if they did.
-
Wyatt Crockett - better than Cyprus!
Unbroken 43 consecutive test wins for Wyatt - a man with impeccable timing.
Remarkably he's played 55 tests for 53 wins, one draw, one loss.

New Zealand already has a 24 test win record, just not the All Blacks. Apparently, the Black Ferns had a 24 test winning streak from 2002 to 2009.
Full credit for the way you talk up the Black Ferns at any opportunity. (that was not a sarcastic post, it's great to acknowledge their achievements).

Thought this thread needs a quick recycle. Maybe we can hope for the jinx effect.
Poms one win away from equalling the record. Two from beating it.
Interesting all of a sudden how the Mighty Moufflon's efforts seem more meritorious than they did last year ...
To be fair it's a fair effort. Only really Uruguay and Fiji outside of 6 Nations, SA and Aus.
I don't buy into the argument that they haven't played us. We didn't play the number one ranked team either.
Having said that "Go Scotland!"

If Scotland ever needed extra support to crank up a gear or two they will have a fair bit of it next week.
Cheapest resale tickets at the moment are around £350!
I'm wondering how dangerous it will be to don the kilt and wander down to the local to watch this one.

I don't know, drinking to forget whilst wearing a plaid skirt sounds risky.

Now they've equaled our streak, it is possible to compare the world ranking of the opposition at the time of each game, to determine whose streak is "better".
The sum world ranking of the 18 teams we defeated is 120. England's is 131.
So our streak was vs significantly better opposition on average - as I tell my dickhead pom mates who keep bringing up the fact we played Namibia/Georgia during ours, and conveniently forgetting they played Uruguay during theirs.
