Funny how the the Black Ferns had a huge number of players in the line-out, including two backs.
And those backs couldn't stop laughing when they went to the front of the lineout. An obvious set move.
Really impressed with the workrate of both locks and the captain Fa'amausili.

It must be hard for the Wallaroos to prepare for the World Cup next year if they don't have a women's equivalent of the NRC (or our NPC), their players are recruited straight from club rugby and the Aussie 7s and - if I understand it correctly - they don't have a tour to Europe.
The Black Ferns haven't played since the June 2015 Super Series, but the Wallaroos not since the last World Cup in 2014.

She has a huge engine. Unbelievable that she's 36!

These games against the Aussies are good as warm-up games but they don't really say much about where the Ferns are internationally. It will be interesting to see how they will do on their tour when they play Ireland (current World Champs) and England (professionals).

A couple of the those Kiwi girls were huge.

Including our 1st 5. But she has real skills and passes well both ways.

Wow, didn't hear what she was saying but the Aussie 14 has just been sent off with yellow for faul mouthing the ref. The ref also warned the captain that if it happened again the card would have "another colour".
Sarah Goss scored the first try after 4 and half minutes: 7-0 Black Ferns

Half time: Black Ferns leading 17 to 3. Tries to Goss, Natua and Hireme.
Wallaroos are much stronger today; especially halfway the first half they were attacking well. But the Ferns' defence was strong and in the end, the Wallaroos got nothing more than their 5th minute penalty goal for their efforts.
Hopefully, the Wallaroos can continue playing like this in the second half, because this game is much better to watch than that massacre on Saturday.

Finished up 29-3, so a good comeback by OZ from Saturday.
