An impressive 2nd half. IWL and Brown's workrate and impact were great.

I don't think there will be too many changes to the starting XV for the Scotland game.

Forbes is tidy albeit unimpressive. Is there anyone a bit more electric? And anyone to replace Grace?

Reihana's punting technique ball-to-hand looks a bit unco.

Somehow the J-1st 5 always had 15 seconds left on the shot clock while Reihana seemed to fluff about and be left with 3 seconds.

What a load of BS he has one of the biggest punts going around.
He proved that on a few distance punts in this game and in SR.

If Rona is fit they could move Bailyn to the right wing. Nikora Broughton is the other loose forward in the squad.

Assuming Daniel Rona is available, one of Wrampling or Sullivan could shift out to the wing. Could alternatively bring Taele into the midfield to do the same.

Forbes may not be electric but he's accurate and has a good boot

I just said it looks a bit unco, no need to have an epi in your panties.

Forbes is a much better fullback than wing though

no, he's terrible! Wrap him in cotton wool and post him back home to Auckland! Thanks!

Chat GTP can also do dead from the neck up Aucks.

"Look, I don’t want to be that guy, but someone has to say it. So allow me—an Aucklander with a six-figure salary and an actual rugby IQ higher than my coffee order—to set the record straight.

    Rivez. Reihana. Is. Not. It.

I don’t care how many silky little step-offs he pulls against the Hurricanes or the Chiefs—this guy wouldn’t sniff the 10 jersey at Grammar TEC, let alone in a black jersey at Eden Park. And yet, somehow, some of you are out here pretending he’s the heir to Dan Carter?

Mate, I’ve seen buskers outside Britomart with better game management.

Let me guess—you saw one decent highlight reel on TikTok, and suddenly you’re ready to replace Beauden Barrett with a guy whose best achievement is catching the ball in the Christchurch rain. Wow. Sensational.

I swear, it's like for some of you everyone outside of Auckland gets bonus points for just existing. How many Crusaders do you want in the All Blacks squad?

The All Blacks jersey isn’t for vibes, people. It’s for excellence. It's the place for Sean Fitzpatrick. It's the place for Ben Atiga.

Anyway, that’s my two cents. I’m off to grab an oat flat white and rewatch the 2003 Auckland NPC final for the ten thousandth time—back when men were men, and first-fives could kick goals and grow chest hair.

ChatGTP still stands out like a sore thumb, it spells rugby player names correctly.

Well good game I thought. MABs looked a bit scratchy at first, especially in defence through midfield, but as they gelled they came on well. They would be pretty happy I think with just a few days together, looked promising.

@Dan54 not to mention going from 15 degree temperatures to 30 degrees and being expected to acclimatise in 3 days does’nt help
My question is How does Eddie Jones continue to get coaching gigs.?
For me time has passed him by

Also beside the point a bit, but I enjoyed commentary on TV. I think Cruden and Hall both made good jobs of being the comments men!

I get the impression he overcoaches, plan a is snappy but when plan b is required his teams can lack initiative .

One thing that impressed me with Reihana was his passing - he had a nice mix of different types of passes and his timing and accuracy of those passes was for the most part top notch.

Yeah after reading all about his sloppy passing in the SR finals, I was pretty surprised to see silky passing of various lengths, bang on target.
