Not sure if it’s been mentioned on here yet but Ngani Laumape is leaving Kobe Steelers after 3 years.
Is he Moana Pasifika’s next big signing?
-
@Canes4life If so would that put him in contention for a spot in the All Blacks for the next World Cup? Would be a good pickup for the Highlanders.
-
@Canes4life I think that it is highly possible.

Is there a reason he hasn't turned out for Tonga yet? Been 5 years since his last game for the All Blacks. All that chat around swapping and hasn't put his money where his mouth is.

Nah. Doesn't fit our recruitment profile.

He wasn't eligible for the last WC, and the Island teams tend to pick fringe players in between world cups.

Anybody got any info where half the Moana squad are off too?
I haven't seen the full list (not on FB) but there was an article before SR started saying that Sama Malolo was rumoured to have signed with Perpignan.
All leaving players are in here. Just swipe on the picture for the next slide.

Have heard Quinten Strange and Manaaki Selby Rickit are both off to Japan
Good move for Strange. It's looking unlikely he will ever nail a starting spot at the Saders. His plsce in the squad was probably starting to look a bit tenuous too with his injuries and the emergence of a couple of youngsters.
