Highlanders will be gutted to not have any points, but just not good enough at holding the ball.

Just so easy to defend when there's only one or two threats on phase ball. Terrible option taking but also not really any options.

    Outstanding defence by the Saders

Even cheating counts as good D these days!

It always has. If you get away with it, is not cheating

Jamie Joseph is not the messiahs Highlanders fans want. We have gone backwards…

@frugby Tavatavanawai on the wing is a huge mistake. Anyone who thinks he is an option there for the ABs is mistaken.

Doesn’t help him he is playing on the edge of a wank backline with zero experience.

Corey Brown is a woeful attack coach

This competition is exposing a couple of previously hyped coaches - Jamie Joseph and Vern Cotter.
And helping the reputation of a previously maligned one - Rob Penney.

I'm curious to the changes in that saders coaching group from last year. They're not exactly convincing but apart from the chiefs the other kiwi teams are terrible. Crusaders are just relentless though.

Blues are harder to explain, but I do think both Penney and Joseph have been dealt quite different hands with their squads. But, yes, Joseph isn’t the Messiah. Not sure Penney’s a championship coach either though. Have to get an extra 15% out of your team come finals time.

@Darth-Sader looked like Taylor came from behind the last feet and then tackled him as he ran past the ruck 🤷‍♂️

@frugby Yes, but he doesn't have top-end speed to be out wide. That will be exposed even more at international level. I'm blaming JJ for his backline selections in this game. He needs to make changes for the 2nd half.

Hey hey hey! That’s awfully negative of you! The southerners won’t like that opinion!

It’s the fact they can sit back on years on winning and experience. When things go wrong they can simple go back to what they know. The highlanders don’t have that luxury

Remind me how McLeod made the ABs. He’s been so average this year.

Yup, he needs to be in closer to the action. In this game specifically. Need to get an actual outside back to play on the wing. Whaanga or Gilbert, just get them on.
