Novocaine: Jack Quaid from The Boys plays a guy who can't feel pain, and therefore has to be wary in life. For reasons he has to become John Wick, Liam Neeson, the Stath despite having none of the skills. Was a pretty fun film. Also stars Amber Midthunder from Prey.
A Working Man: I genuinely like most of Staths action movies, even if they're mostly the same movie. But this was one was pretty bad.
Warfare: A US Seal team gets into a firefight in a house they're in while supporting some marines. It goes a bit pear shaped. I thought this was a good war film, reminded me a lot of Black Hawk Down. Stars the main kid from Reservation Dogs, Will Poulter and a bunch of other familiar faces. Written by one of the members of the real life team.

Let's use this analogy, if his movies were songs then most of them, although they're pretty much the same song are written and performed by the Beatles. This one was written and performed by Nickleback. In other words best to avoid, but in all honesty don't listen to me, if you don't mind lesser Stath then you'll likely be entertained, I wasn't for the most part.

This one was written and performed by Nickleback. In other words best to avoid, but in all honesty don't listen to me, if you don't mind lesser Stath then you'll likely be entertained, I wasn't for the most part.
Still doesn't work as I tend to avoid the Beatles and Nickelback.
Statham is good as a smart ass geezer in an ensemble cast. I've never found a movie of his I enjoy with him as the lead.

Death of a Unicorn: This is a batshit maybe horror comedy. I don't watch horrors so think it was listed as a black comedy but all the trailers were horror. Anyway it was a fun way to spend an hour and a half. Stars Paul Rudd, Jenna Ortega, Richard E Grant, Tea Leoni, Will Pouter and Noho Hank from Barry.

The book's definitely on the to-read list but will give the movie a bit of space to breathe first! Actually assumed it was a novella like Shawshank so was pleased to see it's basically a full novel when all the serials are compiled.

I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. The premise is well treated and it doesn't take itself seriously.

Frank Darabont certainly has a knack for turning King stories into great films (although all three of the stories he's adapted were all fairly well received in the first place).
I rate Doctor Sleep very highly too (again, great director in Mike Flanagan). The newer IT films had their moments too. Stand By Me's a classic, understandably. The old Carrie is great. The rest are fairly forgettable, from what I remember (ha).

It does. The Mist (2007) was way better than the novella. Every adapation of The Stand is shit compared to the novel

It does. SK has a tendency to waffle a lot in his stories. The better films tend to find a way through that.
Green Mile for me is the rare book where the novel and movie are equal and better in their own ways.I do highly recommend the audio book though

Even Stephen King admitted he preferred the ending in the movie over his own storyCompare that to The Shining which is one of the most acclaimed adaptions… SK hated it
