Hurricanes wasted some good position and ball that half. Roigard needs to take control of this team.
100%, needs to start running it. He’s kicked far too much pill away. Get Proctor on as well.

I felt Berry last night missed 3 key moments but in the main was reasonably good
Murphy on the other is just a home town crusader..some of the calls going against the Canes are just bafflingHe's always been useless. Even when he was a 7s ref he was clueless.
At least Berry has grown into a reasonably good referee this year. The rest of them are dreadful.

Hurricanes dreadful game management to blame here. You want calls to go your way, put the pressure on the opposition.
They can't blame anyone else for their aimless kicking. Especially in positions of good territory.
Kirifi needs to explain to Damon why his scrum should be rewarded.

If the Canes stop kicking all their ball away we might actually get somewhere. It’s been like that all season. Keep the ball in hand ffs and play like we did last year.
Bring Gallagher on for IWL because he’s just a tit. And bring Proctor on for Punivai, shifting Sullivan to the wing.

Problem is, they will still kick the ball away. The coaches won't drop the shit players. It's frustrating as fuck

I won’t lie, I was a bit of a fan of the faster style of play at the start of this years SR under the new rules, but the last few rounds in particular have been a lot of headless, helter skelter bullshit. No one seems to know how to drive the game anymore, it’s like watching a game of bull rush.

That's not the rules/rulings fault. It is lack of smarts in the coaches and players. Smart teams will use that to their advantage
-
The Canes started off that game playing the right way. Then they decided to start kicking all their ball back to the Force and look what’s happened. It’s not rocket science.
The Canes almost need to adopt the same style of rugby as the Blues last year. Use their big ball runners and go through the middle while also using Roigard to snipe around the ruck. All we are literally doing is passing it out to the midfield, crashing it up and then box kicking it away.

I don’t disagree that there’s a worrying lack of fundamentals at an individual level, but I think the uptempo style means a lot of players are gassed earlier, hence making poor decisions, which means the game loses its structure.

@Canes4life Kick chase hasn't been great either. Punivai is very slow, of course.

This an extremely long half time or is it just me?
Force are fucked, need time to recover, is only polite

Yeah I don’t know how he continues to be a first choice selection over someone like Kade Banks who’s currently playing in the Dev side. Laidlaw has shown his true coaching worth this year and it hasn’t been pretty. Seems a bit clueless.

Canes are crying out for a genuine 10.
Love has played very little 10 in the last few years.
I actually don’t think Love played badly in the first 10. I thought Roigard was the more frustrating player.

If Harry Potter isn't the starting right wing for the Wallabies, I'll be mildly surprised.
-
He really really didn’t want to award that penalty
