Let's be honest, Parker should have put away Bakole who only just turned up to Saudi a few hours before the fight. I didn't realise that Bakole literally got dragged off the couch.
Dubois can have Usyk again, Parker can fight Kabayel.
Joe couldn’t do anymore with the situation he was dealt with really,
He was presented with a few names and picked the best fighter to keep the card alive , it was a banana skin scenario all the same given bakoles heavy hands and preparing for a different opponent, particularly if he gets little credit for winning.
How good was Bivol ?

Yeah, hopefully we see Parker v Dubois/Kabayel next. Those 3 really have been the benefactors of the division since the Saudis took over.
Bivol is brilliant defensively, possibly the best we'll see at it. Beterbiev is a known hitter but Bivol manages to take the sting out of punches so well, which then allows him to create flurries of his own. A brilliant fighter for the purists.
Now that is a fight that deserves a trilogy.

my only regret with bivol winning , and im more than happy with the trilogy
i was looking forward to a Beterbiev v Benevidoz fight as well , what a match up of styles that would be

Boxing being turned on its head , for the better hopefully

Big news in the heavyweight division, just reward for Joe

Yes but its Boxing so until fight signed nothing is certain
If the big $ is still with a rematch of Uysk v DD then that will happen fair or not
Joe may be offered step aside money and a promise of the winnerEither way he is in a stronger position than before the news broke ,
usyk and parker have 30 days to reach an agreement or the wbo will order purse bid proceedings ,
usyk hinted a little while back he has only 2 fights left but also wants to be undisputed again , going to be interesting
-
Yeah doesn't necessarily mean he gets a shot at Usyk. He deserves one, but he could also be offered step aside money from Dubois' team, or Usyk might drop the belt ( don't know why he would but you never know).
-
Parker seems better to me than before but he really doesn't have a chance to outpoint or knock out Usyk, does he?

No. Usyk beats him quite comfortably.

Na Usyk is a bridge too far I reckon.
Then again I thought he didn’t have a chance against Wilder or Zhang so anything can happen.
-
Only chance is a stoppage imo which is narrow, just very difficult to win rounds against usyk . Dubois probably a better fight for him in hindsight
In a styles make fights context , kabayal might be the best equipped to trouble usyk with his relentless body shots .

Yip Usyk is a generational great and only likely to lose if he carries on too long past his prime..
The winnable title fight for Parker is DD....but DD not keenYep. Styles make fights, Parker definitely way more chance to beat DD than Usyk.
Usyk has that sheer awkwardness that would make him a handful for anyone of any era.
But then DD is in his prime whereas Wilder ( especially ) and Zhang were not so would be VERY dangerous for JP.....but I have no doubt he'd rise to the challenge.
The fact Parker is even spoken of in a serious way as an adversary to these guys is a MASSIVE testimony to how well he has improved in the last 2-3 years. He's made a lot of us eat our words.

Not only has he improved, he is also become very popular and is a lot more marketable, if he fought Dubois in England right now , kiwis might be surprised how many uk boxing fans would be supporting joe , referred to in some boxing boxing circles as the peoples champ, through taking difficult opponents and being a genuine nice humble guy .

Not me, I've seen the bromance with Tyson Fury which would help his support over there to no end.

I would have thought Fury could be a polarising figure in the UK or do people now love him over there?

His outdated views on homosexuality are frowned upon by some but to your average fight fan he's still a legend I would have thought.

Aj fans are not too happy with what Dubois did to their hero either , they will be pleased to see him beat

The support is tribal , he is generally loved or hated , not much in between. But having people that hate you can be just as valuable , they generally still tune in to see you beat .
That was Ali’s blueprint. But the leftie woke crowd generally don’t like him
