Will be some interesting selections this week. I'm picking a pretty settled squad but after that bruising game against the Blues there might be some rotation. Also, guys like Vijoen may come onto the bench. The side I'm picking for this week is.

    1. T Mafileo (Numia to the pine, he seemed a bit banged up after Saturday)
    2. J Devery
    3. P Tosi
    4. C Delany
    5. I Walker-Leawere
    6. B Shields
    7. D Plessis Kirifi
    8. P Lakai
    9. C Roigard
    10. H Godfrey
    11. K Naholo
    12. P Umaga-Jensen
    13. B Sullivan
    14. F Finenganofo
    15. K Banks (Might not feature though as he failed an HIA which I think is a automatic week standdown).
    16. A Aumua (picking his return)
    17. X Numia
    18. T Lomax (picking his return)
    19. H Plummer
    20. B Iose
    21. J Vijoen
    22. C Harkin
    23. N Punivai

@Canes4life Would the Canes consider a 6-2 split? Moana play pretty direct, so an extra loosie could be worthwhile over Punivai. If Banks is out, who is the next fullback option?

With Clarke and Love out the only other option is to move Godfrey to 15 but we all know that's a bad move right now. Harkin is available again though so likelihood is they will slot him back there after Hohepa showed again on Saturday why he is simply not up to it.

We all know, but it's what I think we will see 😞

Love is back. and right when we need a fullback too, so great timing.
Hopefully Harkin next week so we can drop Hohepa to Snr 4 grade.
Not thrilled about Enari starting though.

Not overly stoked about Enari staring either, but can understand the reasoning.
Roigard shouldn't be run into ground, and Canes have some tough games coming up.

    What's happens to Viljoen?

Enari is an average NPC player at his best. The fact he's starting for the Hurricanes is a massive indictment of their coaching team and probably answers some of the questions from last year around whether Laidlaw was a better selector than his predecessor or he just got lucky with injuries selecting the best team for him...

Vijoen didn't do himself any favours in the pre season game against the Blues. He had an absolute shocker so that wouldn't have helped with his selection early doors. In saying that, if he's playing well he's so much better than Enari.

I also saw in one of the training images a couples weeks ago that he was being attended to. He's not on the injured list but that could be playing a part of his non-selection. Hopefully we see him soon because he is a good impact player off the pine.

Two bullshit calls, first Moana engaged before catcher was in the ground, then they collapsed opposite side to ref
