You’re English and the dog was German, so a little bigotry could be expected given your history.
You’re assuming far too much. I was more concerned that it might be one of those small “dogs”, in which case I would care somewhat less.
But then of course, if it was a Dachshund it would be both small and German. <shudder>.

David Johansen, New York Dolls Frontman and Punk Pioneer, Dead at 75
David Johansen, frontman for the New York Dolls and the last surviving original member of that pioneering punk band, has died at the age of 75.

David Johansen RIP. His original band wasn't good, but they were the soundtrack of that great Colin Farrell coke binge sequence from True Detective Season 2. He was also Buster Poindexter from Feeling Hot Hot Hot fame.
A true party ANIMAL.
Hope he is partying in heaven.
Was also in a great episode of Miami Vice.
One of the true NYC legends.

Roy Ayers has died at 84 — these were just 5 of the funk legend's best songs
The vibraphone player and producer is one of the most sampled artists in popular music.
Couple of great tunes there.

I rewatched French Connection a few weeks ago. Still a bloody good movie.
I can't think of a bad movie I've seen with Gene Hackman in it. Either I've not seen much of his catalogue, he was incredibly lucky to not to work on donkeys, or he added to everything. I'm inclined to think the latter given how many of his movies I enjoy.
