Not sure the weight of captaincy is helping Havili's game.

Yeah. He’s struggling to reach the giddy heights of just being ‘pretty average’. Well done Chiefs, blew us away in the 2nd.

Only two weeks in but I'm liking Clayton's bench selection. Getting game defining impact from it.

Entertaining game , Chiefs played well , lineouts aside. Defense was sound right from the get go - set the tone for the game. A lot of very nice cameos

Saders second front row was bloody awful, and their attack was shambolic.
If i was the coach Preston Kemara and Aumua wouldn't be starting.

Really liking the change up in 10/15 too, seems really smart.

DMac controlling out wide when the game is tight, then bringing him in when the defence gets tired to spark things.

Chiefs have the most in-form players, and the best squad depth. Bench is killing it. Going to be hard to stop.

@Tim rotating in AB level players when subbing or for injuries is pretty sweet.

Geez that was seriously fun. By the powers the Chiefs turned it on when they needed to didn't they.
Gotta say I loving Tupaea's first to games!

Rugby Pass stats not great for Blackadder. 5 missed tackles, 5 carry metres.

Jordan is flaky at fullback. Can only play wing.

He's a world-class Right Wing who can fill in at Fullback, but it makes little sense to pick him a position he clearly doesn't have the skill set for.

Quinn Tupaea is the Player of the Tournament so far and he was the best player of the All Blacks XV's European tour in November.

If he keeps this up, he clearly should be a key part of the All Blacks set up in 2025. A classy player.

Kudos to the Chiefs. That was an excellent performance and they have a whale of a roster this year. A full strength Blues might cause them difficulties up front, but the Chiefs are looking every inch favourites for the title this time around.

@Tim pretty sure 3 or 4 of those metres was one decent pick and go too.

A good night out. I'll watch a replay before reading the whole thread. I'm interested to see how Jacobson got concussed as the TMO was silent.

It might not have been noticeable on TV but the wind was very gusty, particularly in the 2nd half. It made the box kicks a lottery and probably affected the long lineout throws too. I still don't like that the Chiefs don't compete more on the opposition throw.

    Myths that need to die
DMac is not a controlled footballer
David Havili is an elite footballer
Blackadder is the best Crusaders loosie

    Nice statement win in R2

Saders get a bye and two home games against the Reds and Force. If we can't win at least one, Penney goes.
