Hope so, did try and read it and there was talk about him negotiating over the last couple of months and the Highlanders not for filling conditions of him coming back…but no details and if it hasn’t made it to reputable sources then think it’s all made up for clicks
Fascinating off season rumour. What conditions did the Landers fail to meet? From what can be read into externally, seems he has got everything he has wanted.
Would be very surprising if true, as Jamie lives in Dunedin and family is all based there, he also didn't continue with Japan due to these reasons, would have to be something controversial at HQ going on.

Him and Rog Clark are good mates from all accounts, and he has mates and old team mates on the board/ownership group. He'd also be on an NZR salary now too as the head coach.

very glad to see nothing seems to have come from it, just popped up on the socials whilst travelling over the break so didn't get the chance to read the whole thing, just the lede, certainly swinging for the fences as far as wild offseason rumour

@Kiwiwomble would be pretty bloody annoying, considering we've leant into his smaller more mobile second row approach at the expense of taller options at lock.

no one is actually arguing that its not rubbish, its only 7-8 post in the offseason so hardly loads of airtime

@frugby dont know why youre being a bit weird about it, i saw a headline and asked if anyone knew anything else, generally accepted as rubbish and so we move on. the chance someone had resigned is just ever so slightly different to JFK coming back form the dead and deciding to play rugby in Dunedin

In other news JRK is in Dunedin and was at training yesterday. Unsure whether he is training to any level.

Highlanders social media still on holiday? Must be the only NZ team not posting anything from training at the moment.
On JRK, he isn’t training with the intent of playing just yet. Only rehab at this stage. Still no word on whether he will play this super season or not.
