Like yesterday the ball when new appears to be the most dangerous. Cummins is going to have to think about that, he might need something a bit different

I think he's doing what he can: bowl Lyon from one end, rotate pace at the other. Pitch isn't playing up as much as hoped,

Jaiswal in particular has been beaten many times, much like Marnus yesterday.

Lyon isn't able to pin down either batsman at the moment, which limits his effectiveness.

Having said that: Lyon is bowling very flat and just now floated a few up to leave Jaiswal with some air swings

I decided to go out for the afternoon because the game was dragging. On the metro and that happens...

What's the rules with 12th men fielders? Seriously he should be a fielding 12th man going forward

Pant throws his wicket away and now India crumbling. They may well need Bumrah to save them again!

Aus should get a dozen overs with the new ball (if they need them)

To be fair if they fail to take the wickets then for me it is all on Cummins, new ball has been crucial for both teams in the last two days. I would have had India batting earlier

@bayimports Yeah - late yesterday, I think Shastri said Lyon or Boland not getting out might actually be hurting Australia's chances.

Because I'm very conservative and from a different era, I wouldn't have had the balls to declare - but, I was surprised they didn't. Baz would've pulled the plug with an hour to go.

An hour to go would have left India a target well under 300 with a full day + 10 overs. Easy get

Snicko isn't perfect, looked like ball deflected. Shows perhaps that Snicko shouldn't be used??

It was used perfectly there. It's part of the process not the be all and end all. Doesn't mean you should get rid of it
