@Gunner it never gets old 🙂

Forget about when the team is named, I just want to know from now when will the travelling squad be named?

Which is totally shit. Daughter has dance championships on this weekend (start of school holidays) which is a massive downer from rugby.

But at least it doesn't interfere with Rugby this weekend.

It's more the rugby doesn't interfere with the dance championships, which is great for daughter, not so great for Dad.

Yeah. The whole dance thing is lovely when your daughter is the age of mine (nearly 9) and you can appreciate the effort and talent for those who have it (she does).

But once they start hitting 16+ and its a troupe of gyrating young women in the latter stages of physical development that it gets uncomfortable. One year the dance school concert started with the Open Girls (various ages from about 16-22) dancing in French Maid outfits.

Lot of VERY uncomfortable Dads in the audience that day...

OK, so is Parsons injured, or been dropped for Coltman?

Other than that, zero talking points really.

Hopefully we see some rest and rotation: Tuipolotou, Elliott, Sopoaga, Moala, Naholo into the 23 please.

Wow, what a turn around from 2007, when people despised the words rest and rotation to now, when we're actually hoping for it.

You're right though, time to give others a trot.

@Gunner Needs a happy medium: not the "different starting XV each week" style of 2006 (?), but as the coaches have already said last week, to keep people fresh for the duration of the season - especially that last test on the end of year tour (?France), where fatigue tends to make the match closer than it should be.

@Billy-Tell well there are a few, not much to get outraged about like people seem to want but.

Moala back. Will he get a run at 13 or will they stick with Fekitoa.

Dmac in and one step closer to a debut. Wonder if they will want to give BB a rest at some point.

Coltman ahead of Parsons. Most likely injury enforced. Are they going to rest coles at some point? Is Coltman capped yet?

The lock situation. Pat T surely due a run. Probably only off the bench.

Who else is due for a rest?

does that mean they only see Dmac as a 1st 5? Considering he's played about 2 games there for waikato and all his super exploits were performed from the back would seem a bit unlikely for him to get on the paddock at 1st 5

I don't think it necessarily means that's where he is definitely going to play. Since 2007 RWC, the AB coaches have had a thing about naming 3 or 4 1st 5s in the squad at all times.

Naholo is back, it will be interesting to see what they do there.

I think Moala is the best bench option. 12/13/wing

    Who's this Tuipulotu fella?

I think they see him as a 10/15 utility , although playing most of his super rugby at 15 with cruden there at 10, he names 10 as his favourite position . On this tour for balance of the squad , he may be more required to focus on 10

@pukunui I think Hansen might use the next 2 tests to reduce the playing time for both Retallick and Whitelock. He could either move one of them to the bench in each test and start Romano in both or spell them completely in one test by using Pat T as the reserve.

Of the other forwards, Read will have played the most minutes but he's the captain.
